 |  Identity… defining and redefining it…
How and what we perceive ourselves to be will determine how we perform and what we can achieve… However, for most of us… that perceived identity is nothing but an obscure notion… something that we never took time to identify… and, worse yet… it may just be something that was suggested to us by parents, siblings, peers, teachers and friends… So, if we are truly serious about leading a successful and happy life… one of the first thing that we should do is to take the time to identify exactly who and what we are… and, in doing so, chances are that we will discover that we are not exactly what we subconsciously perceived ourselves to be… therefore, by using that false identity, we automatically curb and distort we can do and accomplish… In order to help you in identifying your personal identity, I am posting Tony Robbins’ definition of who and what he is… so, that you may use it as a model… Quote:

I am creative and intelligent. I am loyal and trustworthy. I am honorable. I am an entrepreneur. I am determined. I am capable. I am a leader by example. I am all of these things and more.... some of which are yet to be discovered. |

Identity strikes me as a way to descibe how many people chose to re-orient. Identity is what each of us secretly always thought would happen to us, and it does, so long as we have courage to move into a larger reality. |

Along the lines of Bruce and Steve’s posts, I’m a hazel eyed, left handed, O negative, constantly changing, eccentric/practical/thoughtful, elite university attending, sky diving, hang gliding, unicycling/generally risk taking, weight lifting, meditation/yoga/martial arts/marksmanship practicing, dancing, nap loving, almost constantly smiling, tree climbing, massage crazed, polyamorous, affectionate, actively near fearless, lucid dreaming, streaking, skinny dipping, book devouring, optimistic, “spiritual not religious”/Unitarian Universalist/Libertarian leaning, door to door sales trained, hippie-raised, semi-retired 22 year old bisexual Caucasian male taboo busting experience junkie, polyglot, high school valedictorian, extroverted introvert, Leo undefeated in arm wrestling. Whenever I find something that challenges my worldview I dive into it with a rush of energy. I see all my experiences, seemingly good and bad, as chances for growth.
