Gandhi (1982) - IMDb
Mother Teresa (1986) - IMDb
The Social Network (2010) - IMDb
Scarface (1983) - IMDb
Malcolm X (1992) - IMDb

In every one of these movies the leader was incredibly internally driven. The thing lacking from these is the basic amiable charisma. But that's not exciting so it doesn't make it into films really.

Movies on Leadership:

The Pursuit of Happiness
Rudy
Good Will Hunting

(They're mainly movies about self leadership)

TV SHOW: Band of Brothers

Look for War documentaries.

Books:

The Fountainhead
The Tao of Leadership
The 33 Strategies of War
The 48 Laws of Power

Michael Anthony already posted The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, but I would also reccommend Atlas Shrugged by the same author.

Twelve O'Clock High (1949) - IMDb

U-571 (2000) - IMDb

Hoosiers (1986) - IMDb

There's a lot of leadership philosophy built into the new Battlestar Galactica series.

The Horatio Hornblower series of books.

Probably more I could think of.

I'm currently reading The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan & Brandon Sanderson. The main characters (simple villagefolk having to become generals through the series) have to deal with learning leadership, so it may be good thought-provoking material

Remember the Titans

Men of Honor

Twelve O'Clock High (this is an OLD movie with Gregory Peck in it, but it is an awesome leadership movie...love it!)

Solo Flight is a novel I wrote based on personal development ideas. The main character isn't in a position of leadership per se, but he practices many of the qualities of leaders -- vision, drive, etc.

The best part is that it's short and you can read it for free through the link above.

I also recommend The Fountainhead.
