I too felt that I had no talents and that i wasn't good at anything. So i chose to just do what i enjoyed and study. I found out that i'm a good listener and teacher. Too you my friend I would recommend you go and do what ever you enjoy and you will soon find what you are good at!

It's easy to feel this way because our talents come so naturally as to be easily overlooked. "Oh that's not a talent. That's so easy and obvious." Like self-awareness, strength of character, kindness, listening abilities, etc. If you're talking about talents as in music, art, sports etc. Let me tell you I have felt that way countless times. It took me a long time to find anything, and the way I found it (painting) was the way you find anything in life really. Trying stuff. Going out there and being the novice. I basically tried a bunch of art forms (theatre, classical music, dance, taiji, etc.) until I decided to take a drawing class. And what I found there was that I was a painter (with the help of a wry, down-to-earth art teacher Just work on finding meaningful activities you enjoy. And work on them. |

Not everyone can have special power special talent. I don't know if English is you first language but that sounds like you wont be happy until your a super hero. I have some learning disables and growing up everyone had super powers like reading and copying notes of the black board. you being to hard on yourself can you make a list of all the thing your not good at. if it is indeed everything that make for really really long list. It's hard to tell sometime what you can change and what you can not. I still working on that but it comes down to accepting the things you can't change and improving the things you can and being ok with it. Scott Last edited by scotthegeek; 03-20-2011 at 09:05 PM. | |

I used to be painfully shy and awkward. I never wanted to go anywhere social. But then I studied handwriting analysis. It gave me something to always talk about at parties and I found it interesting. Hey, who doesn't like to hear about themselves, right? Amazing what it did for my shyness...and amazing how accurate it was too. If that doesn't interest you, maybe a study of Illusion, or magic, might interest you. It is something you can study, and it draws the focus to you without drawing the focus to you. My advice is to find something that sets you apart and run with it. You might amaze yourself at the talents you have hidden deep within. Make it something you enjoy and like--that way you shine no matter what.
