Yes, I have seen this video before, a very inspirational and heartwarming one. It was very well put together to give a great effect to the audience. When seeing this thread's topic I first thought that the author of it would be giving out free hugs, I guess this is not gonna happen? Last edited by The Universal Call; 11-18-2006 at 04:59 PM. |

Awesome video! Brought tears to my eyes. I'll share this in the blog in a future post. It's such a great example of how a single human being with a simple purpose can make a real difference. C:\> hugs *.* |

In India, there is a popular movie Munnabhai M.B.B.S. (2003) developed on this concept. The tagine of the movie is His prescription is ... love . The lead actor ends up curing many at a famous Mumbai (India's financial capital) hospital, all by giving hugs to patients. He call these hugs "Jadoo Ki Jhappi" or MIRACLE HUGS. |

« You get what you give. » With the concept behind Free Help Campaign you can really make the difference I believe that the biggest callenge is making this kind of things to those who surround us, our family and friends, and not to strangers. Still, it's a great initiative. |

Wow! In the 8 Gifts, one of them is The Gift of Affection. Hugs and kisses are such excellent gifts of affection we can give to someone that makes a big difference to the receiver. This is a very touching video. Tells us that we are still human after all, and all of us have this need inside to be loved, to be hugged. *HUGS* |

Has anyone seen the video for Dave Matthews Band's "Everyday"?? It's the exact same thing, one guy gets up every morning and goes around giving away free hugs. In the beginning he gets pushed and kicked around but then everybody falls into it because of his persistence. He ends up hugging Conan O'Brien and etc. That is also a great video, if anyone can find it on the net please post a link to it.

That made my eyes watery. It was so moving. I'm tempted to do that at my high school. There's 1600 kids, and I'm sure a lot need reaching out to. Though it's pretty strict, it might infract school policy. I'm definately going to check with the the policy handbook. Though I'm pretty sure I read somewhere you're not allowed physical statements of affection such as hugging. What has/is the world been coming to. |

You can beat 'em down, you can lock 'em away, you can keep 'em quiet with drugs. you can strap 'em and zap 'em with electroshock but you'd better not give them hugs -Fred Small | |
