Default Navigating Through A Sea Of Goals

Kind of a dual purpose thread here. I wrote an article today about sorting through goals and which goals are worthwhile. While I don't always feel like my articles come out just the way I wanted, I felt this one flowed very easily. As such, I hope it helps anyone out with gaining a new perspective on creating/executing goals. I would also like to hear feedback of any sort.

I left a comment on your blog for you. I like the article, and is that a Pagelines theme that you are using?

Thanks Justin. Actually it is called Platform. I've gone through a bunch before I settled on this theme.

Chris, No Problem. I went through a bunch of WordPress themes before I found one that I liked. Eventually, I will shell out some bucks and buy a really good one.

Nice.

I know I'm guilty of setting goals without a clear answer to 'why' I'm doing them.

Sometimes I'll set goals because they seem to be good for everyone else so I assume they'd be good for me. Things like getting up extra early, or journaling or exercising a certain way.

There's no real reason I need to be making these things my goals, but it seems to help others so I try to set them too. I end up going against my real nature just for the sake of setting a goal...

I've done the same for a better part of my life. Making the shift from making goals because "you think you should" to making goals because it's what you want is life changing. Glad you enjoyed it.

I keep seeing the title of this thread as "Navigating through a Sea of Goats," the image of which makes me laugh.

Perhaps it's a message from your subconscious, lol. Actually if I had made that the title I probably would actually have more traffic simply because it sounds so baffling.
