Default condescension & disrespect on airport security shows

something hasn't felt right when I watch those airport security shows

now i know what it is

it feels to me like the people who have acted criminally or are suspected of acting criminally are treated with condescension, uncaring, & disrespect and it was this that felt wrong to me. Treated like they are "bad" and "wrong" when they as a human are not bad or wrong, it is their behavior that is bad and wrong, but not the human being them-self.

and the whole show seems to presume it is right and good to treat people this way.

perhaps it is not guilt that people feel in these situations, but fear....fear because people with criminal behavior or suspected criminal behavior have a higher risk of abandonment by society and being willingly killed by society, and being disrespected and not cared for or cared about anymore, and treated as bad and wrong

and then the higher their fear because of this, the worse they are treated

See roxy, there are two things. People who have acted very badly needs to woke up or should be sent to right place.
People who look like suspect should be act with all alert or with bit with doubt. But this does not mean that they should be punished harshly or something disturbing.

I don't disagree, but perhaps the best solution for is just to not watch these shows if they bother you. I don't watch the news nearly as often anymore. I don't watch a ton of tv period because the commercials bother me so much, and since I'm unlikely to stop them.....

Placing human beings in positions of authority can be a "scary" proposition.
