Default Creativity and the meaningful life.

Everyone needs an avenue to express themselves fully and without restraint. How do you do it?

Besides blogging, I like to also make hip-hop/electronica beats using Reason 4.0 (software synthesizers and drum machines).

Well, writing is the big one for me.

But I also enjoy playing the guitar and singing (I usually do that alone though, but I *do* like to do Karaoke with people )...I used to like writing songs (simple songs with basic melodies because my guitar skills revolve around knowing a handful of chords ).

There is a mixing program for music called VirtualDJ that I used to like to play around with (mixing music and songs together).

So, I guess that means music is another one of my creative outlets besides writing.

@James, awesome creativity.

Well, Right now i am doing this. I see my target, make efforts, if anything doesn't come in mind, look at others and make an error, then learn from it. It looks like error and add. This is mine creativity.

My focus is blogging when it comes to expressing myself because I get to write about my own philosophies, and life stories, and find people who actually listen and find it interesting.

I also play the guitar, I'm a rockstar. A few years ago I wrote my first song after years of frustration with trying to learn the guitar. I just usually play almost the same looking major chords and sing, and it's a lot more than a lot of my friends can do. Not that that matters, it just matters that I'm connect with something on guitar.

Here's video of me playing guitar.

I suck. Don't rub it in. It has awful quality too.

I also use to draw a lot and just started doing it again when I road the train a few weeks ago I drew a picture of a girl and gave it to her. Then she started following me around the train. I'm not going to go that into it, but it is a way I could express myself.

I write (poetry, prose, nonfiction), paint, draw, play piano, dance, sew, cook, and garden. I think gardening is creative because you do create - you grow life, and you arrange that life in the earth in efficient or eye pleasing configurations.

I definitely like to write, however, I haven't started a blog yet because I'm scared of not being able to find enough readers at this point.

I like to come up with events, discussions, solutions to problems, cook new dishes. That's how I satisfy my need to create.

I write poetry, prose, short fiction, I do art in a variety of mediums - acrylic, pencil, charcoal, pastels, watercolor, clay sculpture and reliefs, pen and ink (my latest obsession), collage.

I dance (ballet, tap which I haven't done in a while, jazz, modern, fusion, flamenco, raqs sharki, rajasthan folk dance).

I cook and garden, which is art to me.

I also have a blog for my poetry, but having a following is not a concern to me. I just want one person to read what I write and resonate with that moment of experience. That's the only thing I ever want to do with my art. Touch another heart.

I'm a musician first and foremost and I absolutely love the process of creating a song. I do my best to blend live and electronic instrumentation and I'm studying lots of different styles of music and music production looking for ways to grow my own creativity. I've been making some major breakthroughs over the past few months, which is always nice.

Since July of this year, I've recorded a song every month and put it up on my website, which has helped keep the creative process flowing and helped with figuring out what works with my music and what doesn't. I shouldn't worry about the creative process flowing too much though, as I'll have finished six songs by the end of this month alone, not to mention the foundations I've put down for six songs that will be part of an eight-song album that I hope to finish by the end of the year.

I'm also a writer (obviously) and have enjoyed blogging for close to a year now, but I'm ready to start creating stories again, like I used to when I was younger. I've also got a couple of old stories of decent length that I'd like to go back through, edit a bunch, and finish sometime next year. In the writing realm (code, that is) I enjoy working on websites, and I've still got a lot more enjoyment to come with my own site.

In addition to that, I've started working with fractal art and I manipulate the fractals into designs, which has been interesting to say the least - it's amazing what can be seen in a piece of work which has no specific subject.

Also pertaining to the visual realm, I've been taking photos for many years. I do my best work when my topics are of the nature and feline variety.

All in all, I try to apply creativity to all aspects of life, and it certainly enriches the experience.
