Okay, so I needs some suggestions, assistance please. So I'm 25 going on 26 in October. I have a B.S. in Theatre performance minor in history. I went to full sail university and obtained a master's in entertainment business. I've coordinated events, directed some small plays for a public school, done some marketing. I've taught in private schools and charters schools for the past two-three years. Done some tutoring. Now I'm at Capella doing my phd in educational leadership. I was working for Hearst Corporation as a multi-media consultant for about a month and a half and realized that the world of selling just wasn't for me, so now I'm back to the school system as an instructional aide. I can't seem to get this life/career stuff right and so confused about everything. I like writing plays, coordinating events, the arts period, but I also like making money. Choose education because it was the safe thing to do. I've conducted an internship with a independent music label and started a non-profit for girls this past summer. I'm kind of all over the place i guess. I'm in a small city Talllahassee, Fl, but that has its advantages since it has less and less competitive.. ughhhh.... just not sure what direction to take anymore.. but i copied and pasted some of my work experiences...any suggestions would help EXPERIENCE Multi-Media Consultant LocalEdge, a division of Hearst Corporation July 2010- present · Sell print, online and local search engine marketing advertising solutions and programs to existing and new business accounts. · Primary objective is to grow their assigned print and digital revenue base, and Identify and convert New Connects or Non Advertisers to advertisers through business development and lead generation. · Building relationships with established customers and creating an individual marketing plan for each unique need of the business. · Analyze and develop client advertising business strategies and provide valuable solution based advertising program recommendations. What is your question, exactly? (By the way, I lived in Tally for a brief while. I loved it there. Even the mini-monsoon season in the summer So you are wondering about the direction to take? Is that your question? You chose education, only because it was the safe thing? What do you not like about it? And is this a pattern that shows up in other aspects of your life? The...shifting around and not being sure of what direction to take? |

Hey Rei Thanks for the reply and yes. I am very unbalanced but also very artistic. I like and enjoy doing a variety of things and have yet to come to some final "career" per say. And as far as what the actual question is, I am looking for some advice and suggestions as to which direction I should go with my experience. Thanks again Rei |

Scattered is okay. We're dealing less and less with the previous generations who told us we had to choose one career and stick with it, so many more "scattered" people are out there these days. Have you read Refuse to Choose? |
