Default Reflections on Personal Development Blogging

Hi all,

I've just posted a new article; Reflections on Personal Development Blogging.

It's based on my last 15 months of blogging on Life Coaches Blog, my recent experience of being listed on Lifehacker twice, the heart of personal development coaching, why most personal development blogs fail and my own lessons learned.

I kept it as short as I could even though I could have wrote pages, because it got pretty long and I wanted to keep it readable. More than a plug, I'd like to open a dialog and hear what you think, because I know many of you here run personal development blogs yourself (especially ONE person ahem ahem ).

I enjoyed that thoroughly, especially the part about how you said that if you don't keep growing, you will run out of things to write about, as blogging complements life, not the other way around. Good points in that entry.

That's very true Alvin. I've been writing general emails (instead of blogging) to the homebase in Holland for 4 years now. I get wonderful feedback and yes you're bang on: you can't write about what you don't know or haven't experienced. The audience picks up on that anyway. I find if I have silly things, interesting, thoughtfull or extraordinary stuff to have happen in my life, I can write about it to others to keep them entertained . And no, I don't make stuff up. I don't have to
Anyway: excellent blog man, great stuff! Thanks for that.

Default life coach blog

Alvin-

I liked the content, but the ads seem a little too intense and intrusive. I'd still return to visit, just offering some feedback.
