thanks mattson your so right, i guess my problem wasnt values or even living by them. accually the problem was all in my head and the way i was thinking about a situation i do this sometimes. well to let you know what was going on, my problem is more about living in someone else reality of life may it be friends, family, or a relationship. in a way letting other people dictate what your standerd of living is. as appose to your own standerd of life meaning value, purpose ect. for example, lets say your family, peers or spouse is a certain religion but you feel thats not the right religion for you. why should you be in a place if you feel its not right for you? oh by the way this is not my problem. lol you were so right i was venting. i have done alot of work on myself to rid me of living in other peoples reality. it just so happen last night i fell in the same problem i had that i thought was gone for good. but i think now im back on the right track. sorry and thanks to everyones help i appreciate it.

The way I found my values was to look at my dreams and life goals and ask myself what kind of person I would have to be to reach that stage in my life. I talk about it in some posts on my blog, take a look if you like. (I only had to remove two words in that post - aspirations and articles. I think I'm off to a good start; if you have no idea what I'm talking about at the moment, don't worry about it, I am quite mad

Something that really helped me was to write down everything that I believed to be true. I did not start in the typical fashion, by first creating an outline, etc. Instead, I just started writing anything that came into my mind. The more I wrote, then the easier it was to identify my core values. I saw patterns emerge as I wrote about the things that stirred great emotions in me. The things that really made me upset and the things that I cared deeply about. These things were so powerful in my mind that they motivated me to write. I first used my emotions to drive me, then I used my logic to refine them. In the end, it took me about 3 weeks and I wrote about 30 pages. Now I have a clear understanding of what I believe and what I want from life.
