| Apollo 13 GATTACA: A movie about an 'ordinary' child among a majority of people who are genetically modified to be the best. The tag line is what got me "There is no gene for human spirit" The Shawshank Redemption: 20 years in prison and he doesn't lose hope, he doesn't complain about being unfairly tried, he doesn't resent the situation. He only cares about getting the hell out of there, (spoilers Good Will Hunting Gandhi The Hurricane Surprised it wasn't mentioned. The true story of boxing legend Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter. Forrest Gump Cast away American beauty: All the way! A beautiful mind Mean girls: Ha! Gotcha! On the other hand the one movie which was the opposite of inspirational and emotionally draining was Flowers in the attic, anybody seen that? It won't be an exaggeration if I said some of these movies changed my life. |

| Casablanca. Rated the #2 movie of all time by the American Film Institute (behind "To Kill a Mockingbird") and the #1 romantic movie of all time. Do see.

My brilliant career is a surprisingly inspirational movie that I was fortunate enough to watch recently, it's about a young girl who chooses a career over marriage, even after falling for a gorgeous man who loved her back. Sam Neill is in it, one of my favorite actors |

I used to think that, with a great idea and a little bit of effort, anyone can succeed. Then I heard about this movie, and I finally realized, you don't need a good idea. That is why I nominate Beverly Hills Chihuahua as the most inspirational movie. |

One I saw recently that I found pretty inspirational (and sob worthy) was Everybody's Fine. | |

Tommy Boy was my choice, because it is clearly shown that even if the entire world thinks you are a F***up and nobody believes in you...that if you just remain true to self and follow your heart, you can succeed in making a difference. Not just in your own life, but in the lives of many.... |
