Concrete, SPECIFIC lifehacks for darkworker polarization

I've read several of Steve's pieces on lightworkers, darkworkers, and polarization, and I am very interested in this idea. Specifically, I am interested in experimenting with darkworker polarization -- at least for a trial. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be much that provides concrete tactics or "lifehacks" to effect such a polarization. I read plenty about what polarization is and the effects it can have -- but little or nothing about the actual "how". I've looked at the following threads:

These threads provide a little bit, but not very much, in the way of actual tactics. Not even at Welcome to the Crimson Curtain!

To the extend that the "how" is discussed, it often seems to be very vague and general, basically reiterating the definition of what a darkworker is. If anyone could help, I'd like to hear something more specific. Input that would give me something concrete to work with.

Do everything for your own pleasure. I always thought the definition of darkworker might as well be the actions themselves. To polarize yourself, you just "be" the definition of a darkworker.

If you want more specifics, take a good, hard look at your life, and pick apart your motives for doing each thing. If you're doing them out of a sense of duty, drop those actions. If you're doing them because you enjoy them, and they give you some kind of good feeling--pride, confidence, even arrogance is cool too--then keep them.

Never let anyone guilt you into anything. Selfishness is the symbol of a true darkworker.

Most of the time, it's really a change in mindset. Shifting to "all for one" instead of "one for all."

Ditching morals is a very good start. Once you can pretty much feel that you're top priority, over others, duty, religion, morality, society--over humanity itself... well, isn't that darkworker enlightenment?

A big part of darkworking is self-exploration. If you're serious about giving it a go you'll need to start there before you start using power tactics otherwise you're likely to get hung up on prior conditioning.

I've seen massive changes just from doing the Foci. What I've found is that gaining more control over yourself automatically increases your control over your environment. If you don't think you need it, try it anyway. You'll be surprised what surfaces.

One of my favorite books is generally in line with this, How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World: A Handbook for Personal Liberty by Harry Browne. It focuses on escaping the mental traps most people get caught up in such as those you mention, duty to society, family, prior investment, and so on, and helps you figure out your own values.

In one quote:

"Morality Trap: The belief that you must obey a moral code created by someone else. In order to become more competent (and free) you need to strengthen your understanding of the cognitive links between your actions and the consequences you produce. Morality is basically a set of very general rules concerning what to do and what not to do, generally involving large consequences. Blindly using someone else’s moral code, tends to reduce your competence, because it prevents the forming of proper cognitive links between actions and consequences. To be free you need to create your own moral code."

I'd also like to add this is an incredibly individualistic path thus a list of tactics and techniques wouldn't be as useful as the principles behind them. Grasp principles, apply them in action, and you'll figure out the tactics on your own.

That doesn't mean a sound education is without merit. If you want darkworker tools, look for whatever matches the darkworker MO. There's a lot of books about us, for us, and written by us, the authors just don't call it darkworking. Look for anything on psychology, persuasion, efficiency and effectiveness, time management... Believe me, if you're polarized you'll figure out what to do with what you read. Something as innocuous as this fits the mold.

And do keep an eye on The Crimson Curtain-Asmoday's had to spend a lot of time defining what darkworkers are and how they work. With all the disinformation out there it's been a time consuming endeavor. I know he wants to focus more on practical personal development so if you stick around you'll get what you're looking for.

I don't like the "and, but" that comes along with people trying to explain darkworking. "Yeah, be selfish, but not an ass." Well what if you want to be an ass? There are no caveats to darkworking. Society functions whether you're a cautious, fearful darkworker (which is really no darkworker at all), or a stupidly arrogant *******.

Something people often overlook is that ******** get what they want. Be it right or wrong, it's effective.

Darkworkers are limited by one thing-cause and effect. If you can accept the consequences you can take any action. There's no mandate to adhere to conventional morals, to restrain yourself from harming anyone, or to "not be an *******" as some in this thread have stated. Liberty and pragmatism are the defining traits of the path.

Paradoxically, you need a strong code of honor. I've never seen a successful darkworker who doesn't have one. The thing is that it has no correlation to societal norms. It's okay to be an ******* so long as it's within the boundaries you've set. The only relevant question is, "who are you?" If you're the kind of person who does what you're doing then by all means continue.

I remember when I was asking myself, "Why are you a darkworker?" and I got an answer back, clear as day, "Because I want justice." I responded with, "What is justice?" and what I got was "Whatever makes me feel good." That, to me, is the essence of darkworking.

I liked how Asmoday put it... something to the effect of, well, a Darkworker might care about the environment because he still has to live in it.

I think that the greatest scientists were Darkworkers - motivated by the love of their craft, and curiosity, and a desire for control (why else would one want to need to know the secrets of the universe?).
