“I’ve been trying hard since long time and it seems that I’m going nowhere” “I will never be able to achieve my dreams” “No body is helping me” “I’m trying to get my name out there and let people know about my dream, but it seems that no one is interested” “No body believes in me” “I’m going to QUIT” Are you talking to yourself that way all the time? Don’t you know that you become what you think of most of time? Don’t you know that you only fail when you quit? Wake up, my friend. Success is a journey and here is an important lesson I learned about this journey from my mentor Mike Litman… “You're ALWAYS insignificant before you are significant…STAY in the game long enough to WIN” Before you become significant and see people encouraging you along the way, you will pass through a long period of insignificance in which all people around you are saying to you, “you can’t do it” Persistence is the key. Stay in the game long enough to win. You lose when you quit, but as long as you’re in the game there is a chance to win. Work hard and smart. Focus on what you want. Improve everyday. “From where can I get enough motivation?”, you may wonder. Well that is a good question. When you follow your true purpose in life, you will have enough motivation. When you follow something that is big enough to fire your desire and passion, you will have the necessary motivation to keep moving on. You were born for a purpose, and you can unleash your full potential only when you LIVE it. I used to lose motivation very quickly. This continued to happen until I discovered my true purpose in life. Since that time, I became unstoppable. You can too. Those who stay in the game long enough will win at the end. But to be able to stay long enough, you must have a strong believe and desire in what you want. You must feel that you are doing something valuable. You must find a meaning for what you do. Persist and never quit as long as you’re on the right track. Live your life to the fullest and listen to your call. Choose the right game to play, stay there long enough, and be patient during the periods of insignificance. When you do that, you will WIN the game of life. |

Great post and very true. The hardest part of being a success is fighting through your failures and keeping in the game as you put it. I might actually print this off and stick it on my wall it's that good |

Very interesting post Tohami. You offer many great points. Of course, not everyone considers life to be a game. Some people take it very seriously, and still others hope to awaken from what they feel is a bad dream. Steve Pavlina speaks about 'Life as the Ultimate Game' in his blog: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...ultimate-game/ He thinks life is meant for "having fun" and we have "skills to develop." Some people think they move forward. Other people prefer to move backward. I like to remember that life itself is "what you make of it." On the surface, it's defined by choices, your attitude and views of possible freedoms. As we choose to learn, we can recognize opportunities to develop our perception and inutition. If we remind ourselves that each point of view is balanced by an opposite point of view, we'll grow to greatly expand our understanding of ourselves and the world. I have heard the saying "life is a game" repeated often. But what are the characteristics of a regular game, and in what way is life similar to a regular game? Life is a game if it satisfies the following conditions (wikipedia definition): fun: the activity is chosen for its light-hearted character separate: it is circumscribed in time and place uncertain: the outcome of the activity is unforeseeable non-productive governed by rules: the activity has rules that are different from everyday life fictitious: it is accompanied by the awareness of a different reality I don't see how life can be a game using this definition. In what way is life a game? Do we need a new defintion of a game to consider life to be a game? |
