| “I’ve been trying hard since long time and it seems that I’m going nowhere” “I will never be able to achieve my dreams” “No body is helping me” “I’m trying to get my name out there and let people know about my dream, but it seems that no one is interested” “No body believes in me” “I’m going to QUIT” Are you talking to yourself that way all the time? Don’t you know that you become what you think of most of time? Don’t you know that you only fail when you quit? Wake up, my friend. Success is a journey and here is an important lesson I learned about this journey from my mentor Mike Litman… “You're ALWAYS insignificant before you are significant…STAY in the game long enough to WIN” Before you become significant and see people encouraging you along the way, you will pass through a long period of insignificance in which all people around you are saying to you, “you can’t do it” Persistence is the key. Stay in the game long enough to win. You lose when you quit, but as long as you’re in the game there is a chance to win. Work hard and smart. Focus on what you want. Improve everyday. “From where can I get enough motivation?”, you may wonder. Well that is a good question. When you follow your true purpose in life, you will have enough motivation. When you follow something that is big enough to fire your desire and passion, you will have the necessary motivation to keep moving on. You were born for a purpose, and you can unleash your full potential only when you LIVE it. I used to lose motivation very quickly. This continued to happen until I discovered my true purpose in life. Since that time, I became unstoppable. You can too. Those who stay in the game long enough will win at the end. But to be able to stay long enough, you must have a strong believe and desire in what you want. You must feel that you are doing something valuable. You must find a meaning for what you do. Persist and never quit as long as you’re on the right track. Live your life to the fullest and listen to your call. Choose the right game to play, stay there long enough, and be patient during the periods of insignificance. When you do that, you will WIN the game of life.

| Great post and very true. The hardest part of being a success is fighting through your failures and keeping in the game as you put it. I might actually print this off and stick it on my wall it's that good |

| Very interesting post Tohami. You offer many great points. Of course, not everyone considers life to be a game. Some people take it very seriously, and still others hope to awaken from what they feel is a bad dream. Steve Pavlina speaks about 'Life as the Ultimate Game' in his blog: http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/200...ultimate-game/ He thinks life is meant for "having fun" and we have "skills to develop." Some people think they move forward. Other people prefer to move backward. I like to remember that life itself is "what you make of it." On the surface, it's defined by choices, your attitude and views of possible freedoms. As we choose to learn, we can recognize opportunities to develop our perception and inutition. If we remind ourselves that each point of view is balanced by an opposite point of view, we'll grow to greatly expand our understanding of ourselves and the world. | I have heard the saying "life is a game" repeated often. But what are the characteristics of a regular game, and in what way is life similar to a regular game? Life is a game if it satisfies the following conditions (wikipedia definition): fun: the activity is chosen for its light-hearted character separate: it is circumscribed in time and place uncertain: the outcome of the activity is unforeseeable non-productive governed by rules: the activity has rules that are different from everyday life fictitious: it is accompanied by the awareness of a different reality I don't see how life can be a game using this definition. In what way is life a game? Do we need a new defintion of a game to consider life to be a game? |

| Since everyone has different ideas about life, I think its interesting to review life in the context of a game based on how game is defined in the dictionary. Consider whether your own understanding of "life" fits any, all, or none of them. 1. an amusement or pastime. 2. the material or equipment used in playing. 3. a competitive activity involving skill, chance, or endurance on the part of two or more persons who play according to a set of rules, usually for their own amusement or for that of spectators. 4. a single occasion of such an activity, or a definite portion of one: the final game of the season; a rubber of three games at bridge. 5. the number of points required to win. 6. the score at a particular stage in a bigger game. 7. a particular manner or style of playing a game (i.e., improving, learning) 8. any activity resembling a game, as in requiring skill, endurance, or adherence to rules where many are involved. 9. a trick or strategy. 10. fun; sport of any kind; joke. 11. wild animals, including birds and fishes, such as are hunted for food or taken for sport or profit. 12. the flesh of such wild animals or other game, used as food. 13. any object of pursuit, attack, abuse, etc. 14. Informal. a business or profession with material aims. 15. Archaic. having a fighting spirit; pluck. 16. Informal. having the required spirit or will. 17. to play games of chance for stakes (gamble) |

| As far as I know, perseverance is one of the best thing to have. Thought it can be turn into stubborness... Ok, to manifest to need to believe. To believe you have to confident. To have confidence you need to have good results. And the only way of getting better and better results is perseverance. And what do you need for perserverance?. Motivation? And what do you need for motivation? Doing something you love. And maybe that's why if you really love something, you'll get far... Your passion-Motivation-Perseverance-Improving-Confidence-Believing-Manifesting. Or so... |

| It is so much easier to play a game with clear rules and scoreboard. Playing this game without a score is confusing sometimes. You can make mistakes if you have enough points to win but you keep on with your attacking strategy and then lose all your points. Or if you think you have enough points when you don't, you stop attacking and when final whistle comes you see that it wasn't enough to win. And get a draw maybe? Well there's no extra time in this game...

| Seems like a popular Theme Life Is A Game - Play To Win I have problems, difficulties and faults, yet I am slowly dragging myself to success, I am pretty much the same as the next person underneath it all. BUT I enjoy my life, I enjoy the gamble of chasing a dream and the risk is what makes it thrilling when you succeed. Life, like any game, would get boring quickly if there was no risk involved.

| Don't quit. You may realize that your dreams are closer than you think. You know the saying "You only fail in life when you give up". Keep moving forward. It seems to me that you have the most important quality, ambition and the willingness to make something of your life. I'm sure that you'll do well and get what you want. All the best. |
