Not intelligence, but the knowledge that things could be better leads to unhappiness, and that takes a certain amount of understanding. I am unhappy that I am not intelligent enough... I'm started to think that I am not intelligent enough to lead the life I want to live, so I may have to change what I want.

Like the matrix. Want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes or live your life oblivious to everything and carry on your merry way. Not that the knowledge that the rabbit hole exists is bad, I mean, neo did get to learn how to fly and do some crazy awesome things in the movie. Lol. |

No, I don't think so. I think "intelligent" people project ideas like this upon themselves, however, and basically create a self fulfilling prophecy. Which, like many things, stems from ignorance. Happiness is a choice you make. It requires letting go. "Letting go" is not always easy, nor practical, to do. Is happiness really your goal or is it "competence"? |
