I found some things I wanted to change in myself and started working on these some time ago. I have been working on these things from different angles since then. Recently I've been noticing these "mistakes" (that's just my opinion) I used to make in other people. I don't feel that I changed but I'm thinking the noticing part is a sign of progress. Is there anyone that can relate to this? |

It's awareness, which is a good thing. You can't change what you don't notice, and when you notice it in yourself, you start to notice it in others. I've been through it over a period of time and have come out the other side. It's an interesting journey that's for sure. The most amazing thing I got out of it was instead of seeing people as annoyances, or problems, I realised that people are loving and individual, just with a bunch of flaws that can be easily overlooked. When you realise that people aren't their flaws, just like you aren't yours, you can skip past all the personality fluff and just connect with that person directly. It's one of the most liberation realisations. So don't be worried about seeing your own mistakes in others, it's just the first step in realising that people are not their mistakes.

Sound like when you are thinking of buying a new laptop or car or phone. Suddenly you start seeing that model popping up all over the place. It's like your subconscious has registered that 'oh yeah this is important to me', so rather than filtering it out, you are now consciously becoming aware of it in your surroundings. Awareness can only be a good thing. It gives you the chance learn from others, and to make new choices when you see it in yourself.

Great! That was what I was thinking but couldn't put out in words. Forums are great I now days have some more success in stuff that earlier was harder because of the things I'm changing. That combined with this new awareness is making me want to continue. Life is great. |
