Hello: Hope this is posted in the right spot While waiting today for the bus with another man from my apt bldg we witnessed at the house, right near the bus stop a man.. yelling dreadful obscenities at a young woman. She appeared to just let him carry on and on. It looked like this man was from Iran and there are always many cars parked at the house. Perhaps they rent it. Anyway, the man with me, intervened.. he is slight with cane, and of course the other abusive man did not hurt him, however, he could have.. Rather he continued being abusive to the lady. I dont have a cell but moved on to the bus stop further down and the bus came A potentially dangerous situation Sometimes, you wonder what the world is coming to? Eden (a young senior lady) am I and in Canada |

I would have called the police. That way if she does turn up hurt or injured later, they have a record of the complaint on file. Weak people need to steal energy from others to survive and one of the ways is to bully and taunt. She lets him do it for whatever reason known only to her. Jennifer |

I have been in similar situations- I call the police - tell them my location and situation then, walk over and say while on the phone that I have the police on the line, and ask the victim if they want to come away from the attacker to wait till the police arrive. If the attacker becomes verbally abusive to me I then say into the phone -"Now he is threatening me with violence, I would like to press charges" etc. I don't tolerate bullies. |

Sometimes you just can't wait for the police to arrive. Like, when I was visiting a library one time, and this bunch of african kids were making lots of noise and one seemed to be bullying another boy, while the librarians took no notice and pretended it wasn't happening. I stepped in and escorted the boy who was being bullied out of the library whilst maintaining eye-contact with the bully and letting him know I wasn't having it! I spoke to the boy outside and suggested he not stick around...which he promptly ignored and went straight back in for more! What can you do? I did what I could to stop it. |
