Youll know when it exhausts you emotionally and physically, it tears you up inside and outside, but you still keep doing it anyway. Thats the feeling.

Enthusiasm upon waking up in the morning. Being so excited about what you're doing that you feel like you're going to explode

Yeah, I'm with KtotheB pretty much. for me, I walk around so full of happiness I could burst, and I'm jittery (in a good way) and oddly calm at the same time.. it's a wonderful feeling

Huh. I'm nowhere near that. Not jittery or anything. I mean, I like writing humor, and I enjoy entertaining people, but I don't awake with visible enthusiasm or excitement. I wonder what I'm doing wrong.

I believe Eckhart Tolle calls this state "alert presence". A characteristic is not being lost in the "mind", but being totally attentive on the task at hand.

Usually "doing what you want" enables one to work in this state.

Oh, you mean "flow". Well, I definitely have "flow" when I'm working, that's for sure, but I'm not always in an enthused state.

For me it is congruence - where all of you is committed to what you are doing and there are no little niggles or doubts or hesitations. Alignment.

It seems to me that once you have a clear purpose, all you do channels and feeds into that, resonating with your cause. You start to see the world in a focused intentive shade and you take note of things that will help you along the way.

You also (or at least I do) go through phases of sifting and sorting out what exactly you are doing and more importantly WHY you are doing it and keep trying to align your efforts toward your purpose.

For me it's the feeling that the more I do, the more fulfilled I feel and the more I feel I have accomplished. Also, it's the feeling that I would do it for free without any hesitation.

I'm starting to get this now. I'm very excited about it all. Although, I know there will be battles...battles of me letting go of the notion that I am not good enough, but I know I will overcome this battle and become stronger and wiser because of it.

Hi eali,

As what I wrote in my article, you will knew that your doing what you want when it feels that time stops when your doing that specific task or role.

Default To serve

The feeling of what you/me really want has got to be closely related to what others want/need, as we are all somehow connected, and have been "put" in this planet to serve and hence, receive.
That is, for me, true bliss. That is what I really always wanted.

Well, but should I wait till I get that feeling? Should I just keep trying new things until I get that feeling? How did YOU reach that feeling, I'm curious?

pleasure, satisfaction, and desire to progress all the time, because you know that you'll love the results And maybe there is a large number of things for everyone that can bring this feeling, just like there are so many potential people to fall in love with. And just like when you are with someone you love, when you are doing something you really want to do, you feel that you are not missing out, as if you have everything you want right now.

Talking

For me, I just feel totally excited to be doing what I love to do.

It's definitely not like you're walking around blissed out 24/7, but the difference between doing something you either don't like to do or are just accepting for the moment, and doing what you're totally passionate about, that also feeds you energy, and helps you step into absolute unlimited possibility, creativity, and wealth...to me there's nothing better.

I think real fulfillment and success comes from this:

"Take your talents, gifts, and passions, and exploit those in service to others"

Have a beautiful day,
Scott

I suggest trying out different things, that is the only way if you still dont know the feeling. You just have to try, it won't come to you if you try nothing new. Something will resonate with you more or less, just try to pay attention what feels "ok", or "quite good", focus on it, try to pick what feels good on that and focus on that etc. until you get closer and closer. That's what I'm trying to do my whole life :-) Also try to ask yourself why it makes you feel good, it helps you understand what you like and why you like it. If you do something and find out you didn't like it in the end, that's great too, one less option. Just analyze again why you didn't like it and you will understand yourself a bit better again(and what you are after).

As many people said, you will know you are there when the more you do the thing and the more you are getting results the more you love it..as you know a feeling is hard to describe(describe love to me). It's a kind of love, peace with the world and happiness that you are doing things you like, love of life(instead of being puzzled..).
