Default Give without stress

If you help people, but you are driven to do so out of a feeling that you'd be shameful or worthless if you didn't, then that is not high-consciousness.

I see a lot of activists, too, that think they are helping the world, but are actually using anger. Their real gain is in ego. I have a friend who is an activist, who I actually consider a darkworker. She says that anger is what lets her get up in the morning and gives meaning to her life.

Other people work in charities and go to Africa to help out as a way of filling the void, or of punishing themselves as they think they are not worthy of living a good life. Some people feel guilt for enjoying things when other people don't.

You don't have a RESPONSIBILITY to help others. If you do, it is of your own free will. If you think that you just couldn't be complete or happy unless you did these things, then it's time to look inside. If you help people out of stress, I feel like somehow, what you do will end up making things worse. What really matters is the vibration. What you do is just an expression of that.

On the other hand, I think most of us have a drive to help rather like the drive to, for example, sex beautiful members of the opposite gender. It's already there. Just like sexing is only a part of life, so helping is only a part of life. Don't feel guilty if you're not helping. Maybe it's time for some sexing right now.

You're not worth less than others. You don't help others because they're worth more than you. You help them because they are worth the same as you.

there are many different ways and degrees to help.

not everyone can be mother theresa...but helping out of anger...that would be very draining, i would think. it depends on where the anger originates...at injustice in the world, or because other people don't help?

i do believe there has to be some natural flow to help for it to be genuine and not out of obligation.

if you deplete yourself seriously in some way to help, sometimes that can be considered sacrifice, if you can tolerate it and do it willingly...if it it is just to prove something, it may be counter productive.

If one is enraged by the state of the world, how does that equate to mere ego-gain via good works? Anger is not inherently egotistical, and when harnessed well it can reshape the landscape of the world. Of course, to be driven only by anger is egotistical. It is power that consumes the user and serves only to destroy. When it is directed willfully, or it is able to drive one's ambition only when allowed, it is a gift, still destructive but creatively so.

Perhaps your friend is a darkworker, but even neutral people can be consumed by their emotions. The difference between them is that fledgling darkworkers are quickly destroyed by their own feelings whereas neutral people never work up the intensity to be destroyed, or if they do it's a very slow process.

^YHN, anger can be good to get you moving. It's a higher level of consciousness than fear, for example. But it's still a low vibration. It needs a lot of fear to work - you only get angry when you percieve the world as a hostile place.

Low vibration, high vibration, tomato, to... tomato. (You know to pronounce it differently, right?)

The same thing that wounds one person irreparably can be the source of power and enlightenment for another.
