A few things I want to do...some to make money...some are just goals....the last one will improve my life in every way. How do I make the time/money to accomplish them with my everyday life in the way (work, school, kids, etc)? Tour the country by motorcycle (and make $$ some way doing it). Need a touring cycle, $$ to pay for the trip, etc. I love riding my cycle. Just started last summer. Its the best stress relief I have found...I call it my therapy. Unfortunately I don't get to ride anywhere near as much as I would like to. Ultimately I would love to be able to make a living doing it since its what I enjoy very much. If anyone has a touring bike such as a Kawasaki Concours, Honda ST, BMW, or other mid sized touring cycle and would be interested in a barter/trade/giveaway/whatever let me know. Getting a bike like this is the first step in making this happen. The bike I currently have (1992 Suzuki VX800) is good for around town riding and fun, and was great to learn on, but is in no way a touring bike. I'm trying to figure out how to move up to one of these other bikes since I don't have the cash right now to buy one outright. I have lots of ideas for making some income from this goal though. Learn foreign languages (tagalog, chinese, german, spanish, ?) Become an expert in computers/networking/website development and make money working for myself doing it (just started school for A+ cert and MCSA/MCSE cert). The first steps in my new career! Want the ability to work from anywhere in the world. Become debt free. Travel the world and stay as long as we want because would be self employed (Philippines, China/Asia, Europe, New Zealand/Australia, Canada). Travel North America living in a 5th wheel trailer (and make money from it in some way). Check out : http://jmayer6.tripod.com/index.html Shows an example of a couple preparing for this. I never thought to use a modified semi-truck as a tow vehicle until I found sites such as theirs. Very informative. Regain my mental, physical, and spiritual health. All 3 have fallen in major disrepair over the last 5 years or so as job and life stress has significantly increased. I'm at the boiling point now and desperately need to change, but its hard to get the energy and motivation to start on any of them. Always tired, depressed, sick, etc. I hoping thr career change will reduce/eliminate my job stress, which in turn will give me more energy and uplifted spirit (i.e. reduced depression) to start working out and eating right to get in better physical shape, which will significantly improve the other 2 areas even more since the body is the foundation and battery for everything else. I just can't seem to get started on the eating right/working out part, no matter how hard I "will" myself to want it. School just started, so maybe after I can make the career switch this will help boost me up.

"Tour the country by motorcycle (and make $$ some way doing it). Need a touring cycle, $$ to pay for the trip," "The bike I currently have (1992 Suzuki VX800)" Good for your bravery to tour a country and maybe a world on a bike! (^_^) Why don't you start touring on that old Suzuki?? Get with the main distributors, or directly to Japanese central, and make a deal with them, but before you do that make some sketches on how you plan to accomplish that quest, read others people experiences. Or even better: don't contact Suzuki at all, but start touring on that Suzuki right away, get some initial funds for the gas and food(local advertisers), and make arrangements on your website with people who are willing to accommodate you.

Mayo, Those have been some of my exact thoughts for ways to accomplish this goal. A website and other "exposure" are one of my thoughts as a good way to chronicle the trips, build up a reader base, where I can then approach companies to sponsor trips, product tests, etc by showing them the number of people that view the site and are interested in this area. I have this idea for several of my interests. I plan to start designing a site later this year as I gain more technical computer skills through the schooling I am currently attending.

While going to school prepare the real project i.e. when building the dummy web page, build the real web page you will be using in your project. Now i don't know what kind of blog software has .Net environment from M$, but if it doesn't cut your gusto then take Worpress software or Typo(RoR), or any other blogging software you can customize for your DaGorilaOnSuzuki.com (TM) .. (^_^)

Hi dgorila1-- I highly encourage you to see the 2004 film directed by Robert Salles entitled The Motorcycle Diaries. I have a good friend in Canada who retired from his accounting career to run an on-line motorcycle parts shop. He goes on long motorcycle trips each year with thousands of bikies. Its a culture he would prefer not to do without. If you look for this network, you will find many opportunities to get involved. Cheers! L.
