Default Getting to where I want to be?

Hi all
For a few years now I'm on the path of taking responsibility for my own life, finding the essence of my desires and finding a way to bring everything I want into my life. I'm a very spiritual person, and I found a lot of things helpful in my journey, such as the feeling of being supported by other Souls, another kind of Family, meditation, EFT, reading lots of books like Eckhart Tolle, Abraham Hicks and more things like that.
Because of those things, and the growth that they brought me, I developed a feeling inside of me, a wonderful, exciting feeling. It comes and goes, mostly when I look at beautiful nature or when I see animals, when I hear a good song or when I feel the sun ans smell the fresh air it comes to me. I get this feeling when I think of what I want to do later, my dreams, such as starting my own business helping others with stuff like EFT and meditation. I get this feeling when I dream of what I want.
BUT, my life now is kind of a mess. The feeling I have deep inside of me is not connected to where I am this moment. When I really think of where I am right now, I feel lost and sad.
The thing is ,that I'm not sure how to get from here to where I want to be. I want not only to feel my desired within me, but to live them, or at least feeling that I am on my way to living them.
The situation I am in right now is as it is. There are things that I can change of course but some things I can't change. I just want to make some steps towards something good, but because I don't know where to start, I feel procrastinated.
Your help and insights will be very much appreciated.

MOVE. Take action, any action, and notice how well it works in moving you towards your dreams. "Cold! Warmer! Blazing hot!" There is no failure, only feedback, so just get yourself on the court, to shamelessly mix cliches.

When I'm feeling "procrastinated" I find one of the best things I can do is to take a brisk walk -- get my blood pumping and oxygen flowing, get some excellent physiology and see how that translates into my thoughts. It never fails to make me feel at least a little better.

Or you might want to work backwards from one of your goals: What will be the very LAST thing you'll be doing as you realize you have achieved this goal a year from now? And in six months, what will you be doing that will have you at that point, and in three months? Work backwards till you get to this moment now: what would I be doing RIGHT NOW that would have me knowing I'm successfully achieving the next step in reaching my goal one year from now?

You may find it's taking a brisk walk!

Angela is on the money.

Just do something. Make a list of everything you'd like to change, and pick one (start with an easy one) and ask yourself "What is the next action I have to take to make this a reality?" Then do it. Move your body before any second-guessing arises.

Try walking for 1 hour. Have a hobby, work towards your goal.

The key here is "action". DO SOMETHING, don't overthink. :-)

Thanks for your replies.
The thing is, that I feel I want to take action, but I'm not sure WHAT action. Of course, I take walks, I have fun, I do what I want, but in the end it still doesn't bring me closer to the feeling I want. I sometimes feel like I'm stuck in where I am right now, and I just can't figure out where to begin to get to another place. If I knew how to get to what I want, I would take action with a better feeling.

You just had three people advise you to take action, any action, and you responded with a classic "yes, but no" answer: a focus on staying stuck where you are now. You're consciously focused on getting unstuck, but you are unconsciously committed to remaining stuck.

You can ask for and receive all kinds of inspiring answers from smart people, but it boils down to: What are you WILLING to do to get yourself moving? You're not going to find the answer to that in anything anyone says to you. Looking for other people to inspire you is just more unconscious commitment to staying exactly where you are. As long as you're relying on others for inspiration, you get to stay stuck focused on your problems; you don't have to think about solutions.

So: what are you willing to do to get yourself moving?

When you had that feeling of complete joy and that everything is great as it is, you were in tune with your higher self. But then you looked at your reality and noticed that the things that you desire are still not there and therefore you became upset about it.

The more you focused on that feeling, the more negative thoughts of others you picked up which brought you down. It is much easier to pick up negative thougths than positive ones and for this reason you got down quicker than it takes for you to become positive again.

I have just recorded depression self-help podcast which might help if you are really down. I have recorded it but I accidentally put the mic sound on very low so I am re-recording it and I will post it as soon as I do that.

This podcast should come up as the first post in this page:

Angela, it's not that I don't think the replies weren't helpful, or that I'm not willing to take action. It's more that the responses I got were things I already did for very long, and it was not helping .That was the moment I posted this, because the 'take action, any action' was my first thing to do, but since that didn't bring me any closer to where I wanted to be, I thought to ask for someone else's opinion.
Simona, thanks for your reply. I will look at your site. Nice that you do this.

If you're life is a mess, then start cleaning it up. Start with one thing. Begin making order in your life.

Look around your room. Do you see one thing that's out of place? Just choese one thing. Now, go put it in it's proper place.

There.

One thing at a time. Literally.

Okay, so it looks like your answer to my question is: "What I'm willing to do is to look outside myself for inspiration, to see if anyone out there can advise me on what to do to get where I want to be." Well, that's something. That's something you've tried before, too, isn't it?

So, what else are you willing to do to move out of your stuck state? Are you going to wait until someone gives you inspiration? That's a valid choice, although not a very effective one, because it places you square at the effect of external circumstance.

Or you could take on 100% responsibility, and deliberately think thoughts that have you feeling a little better -- because you choose to, not because of what anyone else says or does.

If you want to *get* inspiration, BE inspiration. Start telling yourself and us the story of your movement, and how you are letting go of your stuckness.
