Default Identifing Values

I've downloaded the list of values off the blog, and I've tried a twice now to go through the list only to run into circular patterns. I see, one value so close to another one that I end up overwhelmed and not finishing.

Is there a way to correct this, or a different method that might aide me better?

can you tell us specifically what problems you've encountered? I think it'd help in clearing things if you do.

Apologies for being unclear. I run into two main things. While going through the list, I like almost all values, but I do favor some more than others, the trouble is really narrowing them down. While I'm noticing some go into others, it creates an endless loop trying to find the core value that I think parents them all. The other thing is, I see values I respect and believe in, but aren't really in my top ones. Which brings the following story to mind.

I recently heard a story about Ben Franklin's doing these. Where at the end of his life he reflected on how he did on them all, and the last one Humility was the only one he didn't make significant progress with through his life, or was the one he had the most problem with. This happens to be the one value suggested to him via a friend.

This makes me question just by reading them, and I might like to have them but in truth they might not be the my real values.

Does this help?

What list are you talking about (could you link it)?

Why are you doing the exercise?
What do you want to archive by doing it?

Here you go List of Values.

Why are you doing the exercise?
I can't help but feeling uncertain, unclear and doubt over my actions. Instead of something to make things better I do nothing instead waiting for something to happen to me.

What do you want to archive by doing it?
To gain control of myself, take responsibility for my life, and my future. To feel alive, again.

Today a few have come to mind via experiences. I was watching Patch Adams, and I realized I do enjoy humor and believe I should make this a greater part of my life. I also enjoy helping people, though I sometimes feel like I need to qualify it as I am not always understood in this trait. I'm also big on improving or making things better.

So, there are at 3 of my top values.
