| Hey! That's MY bible! I got it from my brother when I was about 14 or so. I loved it! Many things I didn't understand at the time, but re-reading it for 30+ times or so over the years, it never fails to move me again and again. Sometimes I intend to read just one part of it, but end up reading it all over again. This book inspired me to learn English thoroughly, to be able to read this and many other books in the original language. Another one is 'Goedel, Escher, Bach' by Douglas E. Hofstadter. It's an amazing book, weaving computer science, patterns and magic altogether in one big sense of wonder. The writer is a genius with an easy pen. And yet another: 'The Goal' by Eli Goldratt. This one and his other books really shifted my perception of reality.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad... then shortly afterward, The Four Hour Workweek. That combo changed my whole perspective on what I was doing with my life. |

| Recently I downloaded two shows with Rose Rosetree on blogtalkradio.com and ordered the book soon afterwards. Received it yesterday and I think it's going to be one of my life changing books.

One of many books that I have read that changed me forever would be The Magic Of Thinking Big by David J. Schwartz, Ph.D. This book taught me that you can be more, have more, do more and become anything that you want in life. Great book for anyone who wants or needs a total shift in their thinking about what you can accomplish with your life if only you can think big enough. Great book to get your teens to read too. |

| Was gonna say that! OK, "The Power of Now" was even more life-changing. "Johnathan Livingstone Seagull" a close second. Too many to list

Sanctuary, by Buronson (sho fumimura and ryoichi ikegami) This is in my opinion the best book and any kind of product that humanity has ever created. Yes, big words. A small word of warning though that it is a bit vulgar and has some controversial scenes male to female, so if you're under 16 don't read it. You can find it here: Amazon.com: Sanctuary (Volume 9): Sho Fumimura, Ryoichi Ikegami: Books As this book is rare and hard to find, rather old now too (1993) and it's hard to find to buy, it's been posted on internet on not perfectly legal terms (copyright issue) but for the sake of progress, development and humanity it's a good thing it's available to people Manga Traders - Sanctuary or here Manga Underground v3.1*|*Archive*|*Manga Uploads as a torrent on the right side. |

I have read some personal devolpment books and i am way grateful to have more on my plate for the future. But the The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, did wonders for me. I am just so glad for having that book in my life, man. I have it in hardback lying there on my shelf, it feels good to know that i have it there, i treasure it. Can`t wait to read Atlas Shrugged and have a life where i know i can read those books again in the future. It means many things to me, but to mention it its a great reminder that the human race are capable of amazing things and i had forgotten about that a long time ago. |

some people here have suggested The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I took that suggestion, bought that book and read it. I was amazed and as of now, I'm still under transformation to a whole new better life. I even bought its sequel, The Four Agreements Companion Book which took me a while to find because it's always out-of-stock wherever bookstore I went at least here in the Philippines. I really suggest The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. It would really transform your life. Just apply all the things from there. It's happening to me right now so I bet it would happen to you too. I feel much freer and have greater freedom on the things I want to do and want to say. Freedom means a happier life.

"The Hiding Place," by Corrie Ten Boom. I asked myself if I would have had the courage to do what was right, in a climate where doing the right thing might get me killed. Since that day, I've stood up for the underdogs when I had to, even when it put me at risk. |

I'd have to go with Louise L. Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life". It's an oldie, and to someone who hangs out reading Steve Pavlina, there's probably not much "surprising" in Hay's book, but it really revolutionized my life at the time since I'd had no other exposure to any kind of self-development stuff. Anyway, I found Hay's book as a preteen. At a public library while looking for books on psychic power-- I wanted to learn telekinesis

About a year ago I read The Food Revolution by John Robbins. Been vegan ever since, so I can say this has been a life changing book for me. It totally changed my way of looking at food, the meat and dairy industry and the environment.

This thread is really old and I believe nobody posted here in two years! But it's an interesting thread, so I thought I'd give you one of my favorite books (if anyone's still reading this). "L'empire des anges" (Empire of the angels) - Bernard Werber. I couldn't for the life of me find this book in English, so I don't know if it's available on the American market. It's a science fiction book that moved me somehow, it deals with the higher levels of consciousness and really made me put things in a different perspective. |

I AM THAT a translation of the teachings of Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, was the most powerful Spiritual book I've ever read, and I've read a lot of them. It did change my thinking about a number spiritual issues, including past lives. Its the most penetrating book on the nature of reality that I have encountered so far.
