| Ultramarathon Man: Confessions of an All-Night Runner, by Dean Karnazes. One of the few books I've read multiple times, and still can't get enough of it. Great book for any of you runners out there, looking for new words to explain the joy of running...and for any of you non-runners out there, looking to better understand us crazy people who run for hours and hours. What's more, the transformation this guy went through is packed with life lessons. He went from being a non-runner, to running 199 miles non-stop for charity. Dean has done marathons and many ultramarathons (defined as any race longer than a marathon, which is 26.2 miles). He's nuts, he's inspiring, he's also a family man stuck in a corporate rat race looking for his way out. |

| The Celestine Prophecy - I was actually gifted with this book at a time in my life when I was really questioning everything, and only seeing the negative in everything. It has been almost 10 years since I've read this book, and I still remember the feeling I had reading it. It was like I could actually feel my outlook physically move and shift to something more hopeful and positive.

| The 48 Laws of Power, by Robert Greene It's amazing, it got so much information about human behaviour throughout history and how it tends to repeat itself... so that we know how to deal with it in our day-today life and in our climb up the ladder of success. Definitely a must read to anyone who is serious about doing well in life. I also am about to read his other 2 books; The Art of Seduction and The 33 Laws of War, which i've already bought and also seem to be great. I believe Greene's way of looking at life and at human behaviour in general is very down to earth and not as idealistic as many people would hope it to be... any wannabe darkworkers out there, i believe that "The 48 Laws of Power" is the DW bible, i've not seen so far a better book at how a DW should act in life than this one. Not even "The Prince" from Machiavelli beats it, since Greene's masterpiece has so much more information and advices. |

Who is this me that is supposed to be changed? What is my identity? If the real me is consciousness and therefore eternal and unchanging... well no book has ever changed me. But of what I can consider as some sort of self... hehehe... Intellectually these books shattered my reality and opened my mind: Alasdair MacIntyre - After Virtue Friedrich Nietzsche - Genealogy of Morality The Bhagavad-Gita and The Upanishads Dare I say the writings of Steve Pavlina ??? I don't neccessarily agree with all the conclusions (how could I when they are so wildly contrasted!) but the lines of reasoning they take you down and the possibilities opened up are incredible. edit : how could I forget the entire works of Plato in my list ??????!!!!! I just finished reading The Alchemist by Paul Coelho. Its a beautiful story about a boy's search for his Personal Legend. I think that anyone can get something out of this book, especially if they are searching for meaning in their lives. It taught me that my treasure is where my heart is. I enjoyed this book so much that I want to read Coelho's other books as well. |

| I would say that it is the Kybalion, by the Three Initiates....I started channeling my higher self (and eventually as a professional spirit medium) just a couple of days after finishing that book. |

This is tough. I love books and there have been so many that have changed my life. I'd say the one that really cracked my head open was Ram Das' "Be Here Now". I took a hatha yoga class in high school and the teacher gave me a copy. A Theosophy Book "Ancient Wisdom" by Annie Besant was life altering. "Prometheus Rising" by Robert Anton Wilson. A little book "Das Energi" by Paul Williams. |

I can't believe no one has mentioned this but Mitch Albom's The Five People You Meet in Heaven A little gem of a book that came along at a time when I was struggling to consolidate my view of the world. It really taught me that every single person, however seemingly insignificant can impact on others lives whether they realise it or not. I actually recommend this book to EVERYONE. Mitch Albom's book For One More Day about an alcoholic father who tries to commit suicide is also brilliant. Other books that have shaped me are: Paulo Coelho's Like The Flowing River Michael Newton's Destiny of Souls Coelho's book of recollections and short-stories from around the world was one of the most touching and affirming books I have read recently. Newton's book, contrary to the title, is easily accessible and resonated with me powerfully in a way that I have not come across in any other book about spirituality and why we are here. |

My most life changing book has to be the book that changed me from an atheist ("All religion is BS and no one knows the truth ") to spiritual seeker ("Wow, this guy actually makes sense"): The Mustard Seed, Osho.

Their are two books for me. The first is Paul McKenna's Change Your Life In 7 days: This book basically has excercises to help you identify your goals and how to change your perception turning bad or ackward situations into positive ones. How To Win Friends and Influence People: A pretty good book about the human condition and interaction. Ive only read the 60's version, but I imagine the updated version to be more insightful |

I have read many books, but out of all of them these ones stand out to be the best for me. Very well written, straightforward, and life-changing. In different categories, here is what I recommend... Business - "The 4-Hour Work Week" Spirituality/Self-improvement - "A New Earth" Self-Improvement - "Think and Grow Rich" |

That would have to be At The Feet Of The Master, a small book by Alcyone (really J. Krishnamurti) which can be found free online at Modern Theosophy: At The Feet of the Master, Alcyone. However, if you're reading this, you probably know everything in that book.

Hi Marriage of Spirit - Lesley Temple-Thurston. This book really made me see and experience the dualities in the world. I went from such a lop-sided life to one where I realised that my mind and existence could actually expand! Juliet |
