Talking Characteristics & Habits of a Billionaire...

Hello,

Please help me answer this question. What are the characteristics and habits of a billionaire? I have read much on millionaires and maybe they follow the same line but I would like to hear some simple well thought out answers. A billionaire/millionaire has a balanced life to enjoy life and to clear his mind so he can approach decisions more clearly? Risk-taker using the point>shoot>aim approach? Distributes his efforts over many because its more efficient that way? Eats healthy, wakes up early, physically fit, and approaches his day full of energy?

Any thoughts are welcome. Please approach this seriously though. I would like to put together a list of things that make up a successful person in the business world and in personal life. I want to strive for the best and be the best. I have all kinds of quotes and they seem to drop little hints here and there but I would love to have a somewhat straight forward list.

Thanks guys for the help!

Jack

A billionaire's characteristics & habits are defined by his beliefs. Thus if he has a certain set of beliefs, he will exhibit certain characteristics & habits. Thus it is easier if we simply realize some of the most common beliefs that extremely rich people have.
  • Making money is extremely easy.
  • Keeping money is extremely easy.
  • There is an abundance of money and resources
  • I am a financial genius.
Then there are others that don't directly relate to money, but which are still very important.
  • When i focus on a goal, it's as good as done.
  • Failure is a learning lesson.
  • I can do anything.
  • I am incredibly self-disciplined.
Etc. Of course, the process of altering beliefs, especially deep-rooted ones, while very doable, requires a considerable amount of effort, even if it is mostly mental. You can also just do things that will improve your self-discipline, and so on. If you have irrational beliefs from your childhood such as "I am incompetent" or "I am undeserving", than these will hinder you the most.

Hello,

Thank you very much for those. That is some of things I am looking for and will be saving that. I am on track for most if not all of those so I will start reading those often to get them stuck in my head.

Any lifestyle/relationship thoughts? My family is fortunate enough to know millionaires and even billionaires (2) and what I notice is that they have been married for a looooooooong time, exercise often unless age restricts them, work a great deal, major clean and organized home, things like this. Any other thoughts for myself and others that I should be noticing or keeping in mind?

Thank you!

Jack

I'll add to this with the idea that billionaires understand how to leverage their efforts in this world for the most gain.

This is in contrast to someone of lesser financial means who also has all the self-help stuff mentioned, eg. self-discipline, goal setting, etc.

Billionaires know how to create massive leverage that allows money to pour in. Call it scaling or leveraging, but self-made billionaires know how to do it.

I agree. i notice that they use their contacts and power to get serious investments and when just starting out they use their contacts mainly to get big investments. Not only do they leverage but the do it quickly. Buying a home for investment is considered leveraging but they do this very quickly then take their profits and do it again.

Thanks for pointing that out.

theres actually a book called "how to think like a billionaire"

I remember i wanted to know this stuff too, one difference I noticed was patience, only a few billionaire ge rich quickly but they're the ones that make the news, i hope you dont get the wrong impression, also they are very frugal, also different to the popular view.

so the habits are patience for compounding and frugality, and the rest are the habits of millionaires.

Thank you for the input. I have read "Think like a billionaire" by Donald Trump but I am going to look for some more.

Cheers,

Jack

Sweet, good share.
