Hello everyone! I've been publishing a travel blog for over a year now, and once I get past writer's block, I have a wonderful time writing about my experiences because the subject of travel is something I truly enjoy. I've been pleased at how flexible this subject is, as well. It's something I'd be writing about whether or not my site gets popular or not. Usually I visit a location, visit any points of interest, get a good bit of photographic coverage, and write about it later. I've also done some experiments in video. But lately some new possibilities have been crossing my mind, and I've been considering how I could improve my contribution. What if I shifted my focus from location-focused to person-focus? What would a good balance be? Or what if I got more specific and highlighted instances of new energy technologies being used in locations I've travelled? Technology, especially renewable technology, is another strong interest of mine. I know the sky is the limit for a digital travelogue, and some of this post has been some thinking out loud, but I'd like your input. What possibilities do you see? I know podcasts are great - you can get listed on itunes and get a bigger market. Also, adding people to the travel is a good idea. Interviews and such. More will read about themselves. Sorry, I don't have a lot of ideas to contribute. |
