Default Darkworking and Oneness

"You don't always know where you stand, 'til you know that you won't run away!" - Sulfur by Slipknot.

Earlier this month I alluded to a possible revelation I had that could possibly link Darkworking and Oneness.

Well I think I am about ready to talk about that properly.

One does Oneness mean:

Well for those who have read Steve's book, you already know. For those who haven't...read steve's book

It's generally the notion that we are all one on some fundamental level, if not something spiritual then at least a connection in the sense that we are all human. What benefits everyone is the best possibly outcome. As long as it benefits EVERYONE.

So what does a Darkworker want with this philosophy, surely oneness is the anathema of Darkworking?

Well not quite...As I sat and pondered this I realised that both the notion of oneness and Darkworking felt equally intutively right to me. So I knew they had to be simultaneously synthesised.

I came up with the following:

"A Darkworking, unquestioningly aims for what benefits him. Billions of people wallowing in ignorance does not make for a happy Darkworker."

Ignorance, poverty (spiritual and physical), intelligence (and lack of...) are all things a Darkworker chooses to reject for himself...

Now usually I would stop there in my thinking. However I realised there was more to it...

A Darkworker chooses to reject these things in others as well, and will take appropriate action to remove them from his direct sensory experience, i.e his reality, in other words removing them from his contact (which can be global in some cases).

Thats Lightworking Akashic! Stop kidding yourself!

Is it? think about it...Lightworkers help themselves so that ultimately they will be able to help others.

Darkworkers help themselves, so that they may help others, thus improving their world. Their reality.

It may suit a lightworker to help poor children in romania, but to a Darkworker this is pointless, they wish to make their reality better, so they will help those in their reality.

Say when I am older I wish to make my life better. I have taken action to make my internal world better and I choose now to focus on my external reality. Well...what do I do? Do I donate to Oxfam? Do I choose to travel to some far ranging country to serve the orphans of said country? or do I choose to lose a few friends so I don't have so many social commitments?

Neither (I am sure no one would really do these, they are simple examples)

No. I wouldn't provide free content either (sorry steve), and I wouldn't put together some happy clap-trap program to "Make it big in ten days" success plan.

As a Darkworker I would idnetify an aspect of the external world that makes me negatively inclined, and I would set out to fix it.

A useful service, derived from enlightened self interest.

Oneness and Darkworking - - - Combined!

If a darkworker wishes to change reality, all she has to do is change her environment. She doesn't have to actually go around eliminating poverty, disease, or ignorance. She just has to move to a nicer area and continue behaving selfishly and amorally.

Besides, how do you know that poverty, disease, and sickness do not make some darkworkers feel happier, knowing they are better off by comparison and that there is less competition in their midst? Knowing they are free in a land of slavery?

As a darkworker, I am a pragmatist. I strive to see the world as it is and not as it should be. I know there will always be grave social injustice. I know that based on my demographic markings, I am at the bottom of the proverbial barrel. Therefore I choose to remove myself from the barrel completely. For example, I know sexism will be socially acceptable for as long as I am alive. Will people gather around and put an end to this miscarriage of justice? I'm not holding my breath. Even if I became an activist and changed hundreds of people, there are thousands more like them. So I might as well just improve my environment, since that's what I'd be doing anyway!

I've seen movies with other "bottom of the barrel" people. Like movies about poor kids in street gangs. The community leaders talk with the gangsters and try to call truces. I just think "how naive." I have no doubt that hundreds of people have gotten out of gangs because of "dialogue." But I have no doubt that gangbanging will never cease. Sitting and having dialogues about "fostering dialogue" is why black women will never be equals to black men. Black women will never gather around and protest or be a united front. Women are individualistic, they are not communal. There are too many of us for something like that to happen, and we are all too different, we have Muslims, prostitutes, lesbians, all kinds. So I choose to wash my hands of the whole situation and say "fine, every woman for herself".

This may sound cowardly and like giving up. To me, selfishness IS fighting back. It goes beyond being an individualistic woman into being completely self-driven. It says "women are supposed to be inferior helpmates for men. I for one am nobody's water-carrier." It's a refusal to cater to a society in which you are a social inferior. That improves your reality in a way that is, paradoxically, more realistic.

I agree with Akashic. Its that philosophy of synergy and interdependence I see in every successful body and practice out there that makes it statistical proven that the win-win way is the better one. And sometimes for this to happen you have to forget about your problems and your ego and just do all you can for the other party but in the end you come out at top as well. This a proven method in business.
But you cannot strengthen your reality if you are weak inside. So you must work on that first regardless if you are a darkworker or lightworker and it can take a while.
