How do you explain to someone that he/she has a lower awareness?

Ehm, I have some problems with this one. My English is still not the best and I'm not sure my words below will reflect what I want to say here, but I thought I give it a try anyway. I hope at least I can explain my question so you can help me.

The basic question is in the title. I have trouble with this. I often see people with whom it's just too obvious that he has a much lower awareness than you. Not because I'm so enlightened or something, but today for example on the tram, there was a girl, about my age, who was talking about how she drinks all day and night with her friends and stuff, and it wasn't her words, but rather her whole thing, frequency or I don't know how to say this, that gave me the feeling that I knew she operates on a much lower level of awareness.

I didn't want to convince her there. But as I was thinking about it, I realized I couldn't do it anyway. How can you explain it to someone?

And it's not because I'm so conceited, or because I despise anyone who I feel is on a lower awareness, but because I'm curious if there's a way to tell them or show them...

I hope I didn't confuse you more with this and I also hope you can give me some advise.

By asking this question you have already shown your attachment to outcome, which is one of the things that will block your success. You need to let go of your need to change her and be in the now so that your light will shine bright enough for her to see.

Angela, that's a good question for sure. And I suppose you didn't asked it so I can give an answer, but I just want to. It means I can influence my environment, and it makes me kinda sad if I can't do such a simple thing. Raising someone's awareness is one of he best things on the world. For example I know a lot of people(including) owe Steve for that kinda gift.

Dannyboy, maybe it's the same case with us ( I mean I'm lower now), cause I don't get it. focusing on my outcome is blocking my success? why?
and I don't see how can I lighten her up just sitting there for 2 stops

But that may be true that I attracted her into my life at some point... hmm, but that's still not an explanation for me. What if I want to attract lots of lower awareness people into my life and change them? I know there's no point in doing that, but in theory it should work or not?
There must be a way that I can explain it to others regardless of anything, if I want it or not... there's a way to do anything

Firstly, it's okay to attempt to enlighten someone, but you must be in the now and not run by your ego to begin the process. Being in the now means, realizing that the only moment that is real is this moment, the moment you are living. If you have negative thoughts or emotions, doubts, or frustrations, you must step back and observe these emotions, not identify with them. They are not you. Just observe them as they occur and do not judge them. You are the observer. It is the same when you talk to your friend. Observe them and do not judge. If you feel a need to change their mind, do not identify with that need. Observe it. Then, without emotion, assess your friend's views and without an attachment to the outcome, allow yourself to express in words something to shed light on the things she cannot see. The minute you find yourself frustrated or needing, that is a signal that you must stop, step back, and observe those feelings. They are the ego or the mind or the identity trying to manipulate you. Remember that you're the observer, not the judge.

That's what I tried to say in the post. I really didn't feel any emotion at all. I didn't know that girl, and I didn't want to change her. By no means. I was just sitting there and imagined what it'd be living with those kinda thoughts and feelings she has. And that's why I asked the question. Because I couldn't find a way to explain it.
If I was her, I wouldn't be open to any kind of such explanation either.

There is no way, if you are going to word it in any way similar to low/high awareness.

She will either be offended because

- it can sound like you are likening her to be more of an animal than you.
- it can sound like you are effectively saying that she makes stupid decisions.
- low/high awareness sounds arrogant.

Or she'll laugh at you because

- it sounds like you are full of yourself.
- you are using something that sounds like new age jargon.

The mere title of the thread made me laugh.

They'll drop their seemingly un-spiritual behaviour in their own time. LIFE is the greatest teacher. Everyone is exactly where they need to be. The best lessons are those learned the hard way.

That is why spiritual teachers often speak of the law of non-interferance.
But there is always a time and a place for help. The more you click into your own pool of divinity the more you will know when help is empowering or dissempowering or appropriate or innappropriate. I have often felt a strange constricting feeling when talking too much in the past.

I've found that it's better to just live my life and if someone sees something in my life that they want in theirs, they will ask, when it happens like that they are more receptive to your shared experience. Taking this approach also reduces the chances that you are "selling something you don't have" because if your own life is not in order, and your general mood and attitude is not upbeat they won't ask. Also you have to remember that if what they are doing is working for them, they don't need or want your advice.

Just a general warning: don't presume to know what's best for anyone other than yourself and even then you may be wrong sometimes.

Dear Jani,

You sound like you are motivated by wanting to make a difference in the lives of people you feel need uplifting. My advice every time you encounter one of those people is to ask yourself: "what does this person have to teach me?" - "what great quality can I see in this person?".

If you do this with a sincere heart, you will not only start seeing greatness in them - you will start seeing it in yourself. You see, the only reason you see lower awareness in others, is because they are a mirror to you - you're really seeing it in yourself.

Maybe not consciously at this moment - but if you go within and let down your defenses, you will surely find that your desire to help others raise their awareness is but a reflection of your need to raise your own awareness.

If you take this advice to heart - if you really do it, you will also stop attracting these "low awareness" people - because the reason you attracted them (as in always noticing them) in the first place was to address and complete this issue of awareness in yourself.

Remember, this world is a big illusion - everything you experience is of your making - including the rest of the world. This doesn't mean that the rest of the world does not exist without you - but it does mean that everyone on earth exist as one thing and one thing alone: pure possibility.

This is why someone may experience someone as a grump, and the next guy may experience that same person as a loving, kind person...because that "grump" was created on the spot by the other person, as was the loving, kind version of that same person, by the next guy.

Why? Because again, the grump/loving,kind person exists as pure possibility - until he or she enters someone else's world.

Maybe you'll attract people who are operating at a higher level than yourself, who will inspire you to up your game. When that happens, when you find yourself surrounded by people who are doing really well, congratulate yourself!

You're very welcome Jani, and thanks for being open minded. Regarding your new question, it's not a matter of whether you will always attract these kinds of people - it's a matter of what qualities in them you will notice.

If you take my advice to heart and start looking for great qualities in these people, pretty soon, you will be unable to find those "low awareness" qualities in those people, because you have now raised your own awareness, and since like attracts like (law of vibration, law of attraction), you will now automatically start noticing the great things about others - even in those people that others may view as having low consciousness.

If you can truly do this, your life will improve in ways you can't even imagine! I'm still working on mastering that art.

Well, it's not like I don't notice these good qualities in people. It's rather the contrary. For a few months now, I've been practicing consciously to find these good things in everyone I meet, and it's not that hard after some practice, you simply won't be able to hate or despise anyone, instead love them for their good qualities. It's quite a good feeling.

And here, as I was sitting on that tram, I noticed a lot of things that I really liked about this girl (she was very kind and open, and she could easily keep a conversation with that quiet boy she was talking with), but that's just a reason again to feel sorry for her because she might waste her life on something stupid.

I do understand now that I was attracting her and that it's merely an illusion, I just wanted to tell you I'm not that miserable after all, I always look for the good things in people

I understand what you mean hon. But my reply to you is simply this - you don't!

As someone else has said - you lead by example. You are what you are and you are here to lead by example and love. We are here to rebalance the Earth's positivity against the negativity of those souls. That is why we walk - you are not alone. It is a very difficult challenge, especially when we see so much negativity and wickedness around us that deep inside is not what we know and what we are accustomed to where we come from. Sometimes we feel like aliens on this planet! Not entirely inaccurate as apparently some people are! I am an incarnate saint with a non-human soul and have come here many times to walk, witness and assist.

In order to find out who you are and to ask for wisdom to deal with such situations as you have described. meditate, light a candle, ask for angels to help you to walk with with such light and love that these others will be receptive to your example. Ask to be shown your path and I'm sure it will come to you.

Doreen Virtue writes lots of interesting material on the subject of non-Earthly souls on Earth. Look her up on Amazon and see what speaks to you from her material, or simply make a general search for more information on this subject and see which author/material speaks to you.

Louise Hay says that all problems stem from not loving the self. If you can send that person some love and approval, maybe you can raise their awareness just a little bit. Something such as giving a sincere compliment could make a positive difference.

I don't personally think you have to tell them anything. If you focus on yourself and your contribution to others, you'll indefinitely attract the people who resonate with your message, bar none.

There are a great number of people who don't have a desire or willingness to grow and advance. Your job is to focus on yourself and your message. That is the only way to get through to these people, by your own example and contribution to others.

If you place your attention on dirt, you'll get more dirt. If you place your attention on gold, you'll get more gold.

The part to point out is that there's nothing wrong with them being at a lower level of awareness. Just wanting to raise there level of awareness means you think it's better for them to have a higher awareness that a lower one. That's not true at all. All of reality flows how it's meant to, and a person's level of awareness just give them results based on that level of awareness. You might be thinking "But I want them to have better results!", but then, what are better results? How can you compare her results, to your results, and how do you know they aren't the right results for her?

On the flip side, it's a very noble cause to want to raise the overall level of awareness of the planet. If I think about it I can feel my connection to it, but first I have to give up my notions of "how the world should be." I have to accept everything right now, just the way it is, and just the way it isn't, because if I don't I really can't make a difference. Kind of counter intuitive, the only way to change the world, is to not want to change it.

The start of raising another person's awareness is to accept them as 100% themselves, love them, believe in their sovreignty as a person and let them have full responsibility of their own life. You can also work on yourself, by raising your own awareness, being an example and living with principle. Share yourself with others, and let your true self shine through.

You can never change another person, and strangely enough, you can never change yourself. Change just happens, but it's who you are in each moment that determines the direction, and that direction is based apon the love, power and truth you are bringing into each moment, and each person. Give them truth, give them power and give them love. Then let them use it to their fullest extent.
