To spend the first half of my life building a fortune, and the second half giving it away. Eventually I'd love to start some kind of foundation for sending speakers to schools around the country to talk about success, the books to read, the seminars to listen to, the opportunities to look for. Not the usual boring, droning assembly we all remember from high school, but getting together a bunch of young (20-30) living success stories together and going about speaking about personal development, and what it takes to succeed while meeting and exceed your goals. Most people would completely tune out, but in every school there would probably be one person who would take all the advice to heart, read the books, listen to the seminar, start on the journey of personal development, and never look back. That person would make it all worth the trouble, even if it were just that one person. The first step towards this for me is growing my trading account equity from $1800 to $100,000 by January 19th, after which I'll work on increasing that to a million, go on a trip around the world, come back, and work it up to a hundred million or so. From there I'd be pretty well set to start working to help improve the lives of others full-time. |

You think this is new? Check out ken wilber. check out leary, check out the people who didn't grow up underground. people, this is open beta. welcome. questions are, how do we keep this going, and the question a few weeks/months/years down the road is when do we go golden? when do we make the final release? spore is still in the waiting, but when do we decide we are happy? Cultural victories, inward growth vs outward expansion. how many of you have heard of the question "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" ok, decide for yourself. take a vote of those around you, cast your vote, and see what the answer is for you and those around you. rock wins, but paper wins more often, the chicken came first, and a woodchuck would-choose- to-chuck-between 12 and 25 kg a day. so... how many gas stations are in the us? | My life purpose is dedicated to having conscious thought awareness in creating, using intention to manifest the reality of self-development, the essence of growth and over all infinite potential. To shape foundations of enlightenment with inspiration to being unconditional love and finally bringing out the infinite wisdom and unlimited power from within. Developing perfect opportunities to see ones creative imagination power, designing and aligning for success to waking this world through manipulating reality on levels of not only ascending transformations across Earth but even phenomenal results across multi-dimensions. |

I tried the exercise of listing what I thought my life purpose is for 20 minutes and the only one that hit a cord is: "To experience" Which is different from the previous thought of "Global conscious human improvement". Wikipedia is a crude form of that kind of sharing and advancement, but I don't think we are far enough yet to reach the type of sharing I'd like. Limited by time and space I suppose. |

All my life I have pursued truth and wisdom. Gradually, as I grew and inevitably changed, my beliefs evolved in amazing ways. But from my earliest memories I have dreamed of helping humanity become conscious of our multi-dimensionality and to become the fullness of who we are meant to be. When I was a dyed in the blue Catholic, many moons ago now, I wanted to bring everyone to experience union with Jesus or God. Now I phrase it differently, but one with Universal Consciousness probably fits. Now we are on the cusp of Ascension, of making an exponential leap of consciousness that will take us, humanity, to a new and more expansive dimension of life and understanding. This is what I hold in focus for my life purpose. To help with this transition/ascension. Being more of a contemplative than an outward activist, it is from the inside out that I see my influence having power. These are exciting and challenging times and I want to be here when humanity turns on the light and takes that next evolutionary step. The fact that people such as those on these forums are speaking out so much about conscious manifestation and creating by intent etc, proves the wheels of evolution are beginning to speed up at last. |

This is the best way I can summarize my life purpose: To truly and fully live the choiceless life. It's kind of like touch-typing, but instead it's "touch-living". Here are some hypothetical examples: Quote:

To trust and believe in myself, be ok with myself, live whatever life I can imagine, accept my greatness, experience complete personal freedom and help children have all of these things. Now I'm in the process of "connecting" this purpose to my gifts, talents, etc. So my plan and what I'm doing now is simply trusting. I'm following the advice of Dave Deida (way of the superior man) and simply "spending one hour per day doing what it was I was meant to do", which at this time, I believe, is to play one mean f***ing guitar! For me personally, it's a great excercise just trusting. I'm one of those that has, in the past, just wanted things to be "done". Now I'm realizing that I can just bask in the process, so to speak. What I've heard, read and learned about purpose? 1. It changes, like peeling the layer of an onion. What might feel like your purpose today might feel old and "done" tomorrow. 2. True 'higher purpose' is usually something bigger than your lifetime, that might require several lifetimes to accomplish (ending world hunger, world peace, etc.) 3. Some things to give you "hints" - You're in a store and you overhear a couple of complete strangers talking about somethng. What would that "something" be that would compel you to walk over and join the conversation. This answer is more "revealing" the "shyer" you are. also, what would you die for? What did you want to do when you were 5? (I wanted to be Superman mostly, and also Fonz and James Bond and Elvis) |

When you play live, and you really play live, you dont feel happiness or sadness...you kind of hit the "now", as it were. You aren't worried about it. All your mind focuses on is were its at and making the best live representation of your creation as possible. Never play for other people, play for yourself, but feel free to share it to other people. Playing live is probably my favorite thing to do, it makes you focus on the songs alone, and is very organic, imo. Do you play alone or with a band, because a band amplifies the feeling tenfold. | |

I always thought growing up I wanted to be a computer games developer. Always loved computer games, always loved programming. Whilst I still love programming and games, I'm finding more and more I enjoy studying and teaching. I have a feeling my purpose is to actually teach and share with others in this profession. Rather than making it a self focusing goal. This is the main reason behind the new blog I started. To share, inform and make other passionate developers think. |

I'm still trying to figure out this one...what I do know is that I need to express myself and having a lot (and I mean A LOT) of emotional space to be me. I kinda like the idea of not fully knowing exactly what my purpose is coz in that way, my life is a neverending discovery and I continue to grow as I uncover new parts of me that I never knew existed. Key words in my inner dialogue are passion, love, freedom and expression. As long as I have this and I follow my heart and intuition, I know I'm growing. |

I think this changes as you grow, learn, experience new things, etc. I have served my country (USN), served the public (firefighter/Paramedic), and work at saving and improving peoples health (organ and tissue donation). These have all been stepping stones, jobs (not careers), learning experiences, etc. I know I have helped many people in the various jobs, but I can't say any of them has been my "purpose" in life. Ultimately they were/are just jobs to make money to pay the bills, although I did/do get satisfaction that they all contributed in some positive way to society and people (the military the least, since the main role of military is war and destruction......I have only changed to this reasoning in the last few years as I've seen the true nature and impact of what any countries military is. No good comes from war....it is purely the result of the egos, narrow mindedness, whatever of a few very powerful figures intent on domination.....yes, I do believe in the NWO and many conspiracy theories :-) With that said, and from all I have learned and experienced as I age, I would have to say that at this moment my "purpose" in life is the protection, guidence, and love of my family. Money is truely just paper and only a means to an end. As long as we are happy, safe, healthy and comfortable, I don't need more than that. Like they say, absolute power and money both corrupt ones soul! |

this is a gr8 thread....makes u think. i have no idea what my life purpose is. i do know and understand the circumstances of why i chose this life, my parents, etc, but really havent figured out what i am supposed to do. i just keep reading, learning, and availing myself to whatever comes my way and feel confident the universe will provide me what i need, when i need it, to grow on my spiritual journey. if anyone has ideas in this area, how to figure out such things about life purpose, id love to hear it and reflect on it! m. |

Hi Congratulations!! Two things I've heard that ring true for me: 1. Women are the healers and peacemakers 2. Your life purpose, if a true "higher purpose" most likely won't be able to be accomplished in your lifetime (i.e. world peace, etc) So I gotta tell ya, it sounds like you're onto something!!! Ken |

My purpose is to be the best me I can be. Now, on the surface that may seem a little selfish, but it's not. I used to always try and please others, regardless of how I felt... until I realized I can't possible make any meaningful contribution to the life of others, if I don't feel good about myself. |
