The statement of purpose isn't an objective exercise. It's not intended to set a person apart. It's supposed to focus and solidify your own conception of your own destiny, not fit you into the social fabric of our time. If you start worrying what other people will think of the purpose you state, then you're doing it wrong. So people have the same purpose. So what? We all have two arms and two legs, too. |

-to live and laugh and grow and balance karma -to provide some spiritual services 'behind-the-scenes' -to provide compassionate, empowering counseling to individuals -to do something related to the Divine Feminine which i'm not clear about in this moment -to assist the planet and off-planet beings in our transition into greater harmony yeah, that is more than one thing but they are all connected. |

I just wrote up a new one a few days ago and I'm seeing how I like it and if it needs any tweaking here it is: My chief and definite aim in life is to Change World Culture by... Dedicating myself to personal growth and social development at all levels of society Living life with passion and courage Aligning with Truth, Love, and Power Connecting with highly conscious individuals and raising the consciousness of those less conscious and persistently approaching the highest good of all! My original God given mission as the result of an intense religious experience I had when I was 12 - To do what is required of me - nothing big/recognised or famous, a very small cog in a very large machine... I know I am on the right path when I do that which frightens me. I was released from that about 4 years ago and through another profound religious experience - told that I now had to live for myself. I actually went into a deep depression for a while as most of my life I had these guidelines and this overall sense of purpose. I found it really hard to live without it. I have been a bit drifting since then! I still haven't hit upon my new purpose and don't even know if I will have one. My husband is on his "life off" and it may be that this is now vacation time for both of us. I enjoy dispensing advice (IRL as well as online) and generally being helpful in small ways but feel no calling to do this exclusively as a consultant or for a business, just generally wherever I go I like to be the grease that makes things run a little smoother. My personal dream is to own my own home - eco-friendly, self sufficient on a small plot of land. To live there with my husband and a bunch of critters, and grow things. |

I have actually taken classes on this to find out what my true calling in life is. It was determined that I was blessed with the talent of Creative Communication. ( broadcast / voice over talent along with being a personel coach ) We all have purpose in life and some of us never discover what that may be.

I like checking back at this thread and my old purposes (seeing as I update every so often). I kinda like my old reply... I can't say my purpose has changed all that much, only I've moved on from self-centredness now. I still want to help myself, for sure, but nowadays I feel like I can't live life without doing something to change the world for the better. I think it'll involve travelling, waking people up, and communicating love and truth. I also want to live the energy of Joy - I thought everyone did, but I found out recently that some people are more into Power or Growth, for instance: we each seem to choose a meaning of life. I think my desire to live Joy is a constant in my life. I've never stopped searching for the way to live it: true, overwhelming, deep, authentic, powerful, vibrant, living Joy. More concrete goals include getting my blog out to a huge audience and changing the world through that (also gaining financial freedom as a byproduct), becoming a master healer and contributing that skill, and becoming a master psychic medium (mainly for the Joyful freedom it brings me). I have lots of other things I'm doing or want to do, too Andrew |

To change the world. I just do it. For some reason the universe always placed me in a position where I feel uncomfortable and a change is needed, so the universe is improved and I feel better. Those who have resisted, failed. And believe you me, I have faced strong opposition in the past. |

It's a great question....If I can manage to live my own life in such a way one day it causes a spark of inspiration in another by demonstrating an attitude of peace, joy, and kindness then I have not just done something good for myself. And, if in turn they can pass that spark on to someone else, it would continue to grow and spread until we all live in a more happy, peaceful and connected world.

few time ago i thought that My purpose had to do with something outside of Me. like what sort of job or what sort of action, specifically what was my Mission. but a few days ago i was showed that my life PURPOSE Is MYSELF. that no matter what i Do,or where i am...i simply cannot stop from being who i am:love and light. what i can do,is choose the way on which I express myself, the way im creatively interacting with other Souls:bringing joy, love, light to the world. so this is it...my Contribuition.my own existence. |

Inspiration. To inspire people, through art and philosophy. Also work on environmental issues. To be friendly and always act in a way that makes people believe people are good. To communicate ideas in other ways than through words. Work with ideas. Try to make people question everything, become conscious. To combine all of this.

To create and build. To create Visions and build them up from the ground. And my Visions expresses in business as a medium. Businesses are the ones that help people and change the World for the better. As a byproduct I do gain financial freedom and learn constantly, evolving myself into the Best Entrepreneur there is!

To embody the beauty and glory of a human being who takes his gifts seriously; who knows his immense power and is seeing it realized; who is evolving beyond fear and is inspiring others to do the same.

I did the 20 min exercise a year or so ago and have it written down in my diary in England. A lot has changed since then but I can still remember what's written in that diary and so I think I hit on my purpose: To give love and affection to as many people as possible. To forgive and accept. To break down the barriers that divide people through communication. And it feels right because in the past year I've found someone that I can pour love into and I've learnt a new language through moving abroad (communication). Although I'm still not sure how the last sentence will manifest. |
