Talking Contexts!!

Seems to me every context is made up of two things:

1. a devil, or reason the world is messed up, or why one does not feel "whole" yet/anymore
2. a salvation, or thing that will save you/the world from this lack

Here's a run down of a few common contexts:

CATHOLICISM:

Devil: well, the devil. Also, anyone who doesn't agree with your context.
Salvation: you just have to die while you're still fresh from the confessional.

SCIENTIST:

Devil: superstition, ignorance
Salvation: accumulation of knowledge & affectation of an unassailable façade of authority

POP PSYCHOLOGY:

Devil: emotional traumas from the past. Parents, parents, parents.
Salvation: 10,000 hours of therapy.

POP SONG & ROMANCE MOVIE CULTURE:

Devil: being single.
Salvation: living happily ever after with your soul-mate.

SHALLOW:

Devil: not having a "life" or nerdiness.
Salvation: proportional to number of shallow friends and sexual partners (sort of a pointage system); getting drunk, going to parties, and "having fun"; being a good conformist

REBEL:

Devil: being seen as the sort of person who cares how people see them.
Salvation: unhappiness.

CAPITALIST:

Devil: YOUR SMALL PENIS COULD BE CAUSING YOU CANCER!!! CLICK HERE NOW FOR FREE REPORT!!!
Salvation: Ooh, that new iPod looks nice.

Hey there! That's a fun list. And I can think of at least one list that doesn't exactly include a devil/salvation, and is working pretty well for me in living a life I love (especially when I remember to be awake in it!):

1. We are all perfect, whole, and complete. Everyone and everything is exactly as it should be. Who we are is limitless joy, abundance and power.

2. It feels so good as I expand more and more in infinite joy, abundance, and power.

If you can conceive a problem you can conceive a solution.

When you don't think of problems no solutions are found.

The context of no context?

Default Here's one (I think)

To be, or not to be, that is the choice. Which one is the devil, being or not being? I guess that depends on who you ask!
