Default where to begin?

I'm looking for suggestions of any sort of actions to contribute to less suffering (including animals- am a vegan), more equality and peace in the world... I could elaborate, but looking for any and all suggestions and don't want to limit it too much
Thanks!

I would suggest you pick a quality you want to generate, rather than something you want to eradicate (like suffering) because it's easier to go towards what you want than away from what you don't, and also focus on what you don't want gives you more of what you don't want. If there was less suffering, what would there be that would inspire you?

As to equality -- what would like to see be more equal, and to what?

So, how to begin? Accept 100% responsibility. Whatever it is you want to generate, take a bold look at yourself: How is it showing up (or not) in your own life? What's missing that would make a difference, and what could you let go of around it? If you think you are generating it as much as you can in your own life, look again. If it occurs as missing in the world, you can be sure it starts with you.

well maybe there's the problem- I don't know quite what I want to generate... I want more concern for others, more self-examination, more openness- at least I think I do... or maybe I don't- cos it seems endless examination and debate and considering another book, another argument, is delaying me from actually doing anything- so I was looking for some short-term suggestions to stop overthinking and start doing more.

Well, how effective will you be at doing more about something if you don't know what that something is? That sounds like a great way to spin your wheels.

I don't think it takes endless self-examination; it just takes choosing.
