Default The ultimate act

Is there anything for which you would sacrifice your life?

Anything or anyone? And do you think life would be more worth living if you did have something like that? Some people say that if you yearn for death, you will be given life. Do you think that's accurate?

There are lots of people that I would sacrifice my life for, though no "things."

As to what people say, I don't know anything about that.

I would sacrifice my life for immortality... Wait a second...

Depends on the circumstances. I might sacrifice my life for a cause if I thought it was worthy enough. I might sacrifice my life for a war if I felt it was justified. I might sacrifice my life for a stranger even if there was a purpose behind it. To me it all boils down to purpose.

Edit: My first comment does bring up a good question. If I sacrificed my life for immortality would I be immortal and then not die or would I still be dead?

Had you asked me that a few weeks ago, I'd have said no, there is nothing I'd sacrifice my life for. Only time I may have felt like ending my life would have been when the pain in my life was too great, but that's completely different from what you're asking.

But in the last few weeks, I believe I've found a goal that is worth dying for, something that means so much to me, that I find could be so impactful in life that it'd be worth giving up my life to make it happen. Now, I don't yearn for death, and I'd rather live and see this goal happen, but if I had to die to make it happen, I'd be willing and I'd feel it's worth it. That's the first time I've ever felt that way toward a goal.

Sorry, not ready to share what that might be.
