Question Not sure if it's my purpose

Hi there everyone!

Today, I tried this "Discover your life in 20 Minutes" stuff. It's very important to me, I feel I need some overall purpose and I had some ideas about this before doing this test, which partly overlaps what I got from the test.
But here is my problem: I think I found my purpose but there was no crying and the feeling I had wasnt so positively strong that I jumped out of my chair or something, but I definitely felt something different when I wrote down this particular sentence than I experienced with the others. Also, I dont think it was a mini surge, because I experienced them earlier in the test.
So I dont really know if it is the right one or not. I mean I really feel this one inspires me and I'd be glad to live my life for that purpose.
I know there should be some crying and stuff, but maybe the lack of that and my confusion is due to the fact that this is a really big, and almost silly, really unreachable goal. And also, I felt a little bad because it didnt contained anything about serving others and stuff, and I think I dont need to include that, and this bad feeling is just maybe because I saw so many others who
included this as well.
So, if there is someone out there who could understand this hotchpotch, please help me.
(and very sorry for my bad english )

Hi rjani!
Maybe you have to test it for a while. Live 30 days for your new purpose. So you'll see how you feel when you live this new life. And don't compare your purpose with the purposes of others: Every one is different

Well I think if it inspires you and greatly motivates you, than it doesn't matter if you cry or not. As long as you feel really motivated and really want to pursue your purpose than all the power to you, and why wait you can get started right now!

Thanks very much this was what I thought.
But isnt it bad to live for a purpose which is maybe the second best only?
I mean what if I live 50 years and then I realize that this wasnt my true purpose in life, and "wasted" all those years for a fake purpose, even if those were very good and fulfilling years?
I mean I dont really like the feeling that I missed out on something even better...

Well if it's not your "true" purpose and yet you had the best time of your life anyway..why would it matter As far as one's purpose goes...I really have no clue what mine is lol. I just try and enjoy to the best of my ability everyday that comes to me.

hmm I think there is something underlying what you're trying to tell me. Maybe It's something along the lines of is my life going to turn out great or am I going to be okay? Maybe you can tell me otherwise...but if this is your question then I can assure you, you'll be great. I mean you've came to this site so you should greatly reward yourself for that. Good job

Thanks, it's very kind of you.
And I think you're right. If I think about it, it's better to have a purpose and some joy from that in my life than have nothing at all
So, I think I will live with this one and spend an hour or so /month to figure out if I find a better one
Thanks for the quick responses, it helped me toset my heart at rest and now it's ready to receive the happiness it deserves

Default My Expirience

rjani,

You know i had the same expirience when i do the "Discover your life in 20 Minutes" in second time. Same as you are i cant cry but i know what i am writing on those moment is what i really want to do. Then i figure out that finding your life, purpose or mission is something that sometimes you cannot find in signs and symbols but you will decide which you want to do or to give. once you are on the path of giving and enjoying the process for me you are on the right path.

if you have a time you can visit my new humble blog and you can read

the You dont find it, you make it.

i hope this might help.

Hi there and thanks for your opinion, but I tend to disagree with you. I think it's not a bad thing to decide on your own purpose by conscious choice, most people dont even do that.
But I think its not the best approach, because your conscious mind is very limited and you might pick up something you are comfortable with and that may be not your true purpose. You may even convinve yourself that one of your social-conditioned goals is quite enough for you.
And thats why I tried this technique because I thought it might oprn my unconscious also, to help me find the very best choice I can make.
I suppose maybe I was just impatient, and I will do this test a few hours more, because I really want to experience the feeling when a simple sentence of your life can make you cry

Oh, and one more thing.
I really would like to know that how many of you are there who tried this technique and really burst into tears after finding your real purpose.
