Default Other Life-Changing Websites?

Hey guys, I didn't know where to stick this one but I figured since I'm working on who I am (character) I'd stick this post here.

When I stumbled across this site I was blown away by the fact that one site with one forum touched on pretty much everything I have been working on, and will continue to work on, about myself.

This is the type of site that people find when they are in their forties and say "Damn, I wish I had found this when I was younger." Luckily I'm 18 and have found this excellent site early on.

I'm looking for other websites of this magnitude. I know you guys don't know anything about me or what I'm interested in, but if any of you have any other hidden gems I'd love to check em out - anything at all that has struck you as mind-blowing or life changing, or even extremely helpful, I'd love to check out as well.

Here's my contribution to WOW sites other than Steve's:

Bodybuilding.com - Where I learned almost all that I know about health & fitness. Great forum, great articles, life changing website.

Fastseduction.com - Blew my mind. Reserve any negative connotations you have about this site or it's name - People may take it as a place for horny guys who want to "get laid", but it's heart is pure self development, and is filled with good people. It was the first stepping stone in my path toward self development.

Pandora.com - Genius. Type in a song or artist into it's search function and it will spit out other songs or artists that sound very much like the original. Awesome. I've found a ton of great new music by using this website.

Hit me guys, I'm lookin for some hidden gems here.

Think Simple Now is a great one.

also The Growing Life | Alternative Productivity, Anti-Hacks for Living is a fairly new blog with some interesting and thought provoking articles.

Then there's my blog.. Jonathan Mead where I aimlessly try to provide some sort of value. =)

norbert, I checked out trizoko yesterday and found some really good thoughts going on over there... I'll be checkin it out more often. Thanks

Mr. Mead, I checked out the sites you recommended and they both seem right up my alley. Your blog is great too, your 6 Keys to Develop the Action Habit punched me in the face, and that's a good thing.

Thanks guys, keep em coming.

The Paradox Of Ego Versus Soul - other stuff there - poke around.

Independent news on natural health, nutrition and more - some free audio downloads to inspire healthy eating too.

CONSCIOUSNESS AS THE NEW CIVIL RIGHTS ISSUE : IntentBlog not just the article that this link goes to - but poke around.

Real Jesus, Win your spiritual freedom from the human ego - interesting someone channels Jesus! get past that and read it anyway, because it made sense what is being said.

I will enjoy, in due time, the web sites you others have posted about, thanks!

Socialising and dating as self actualization. I prefer it to the fast-seduction stuff which seems to embody a more manipulative outlook to socialising.

Man, I was thinking about just those two websites, Pandora and Fast Seduction, yesterday and boom, someone brings up the links. You rock Primal.

Two blogs that I read daily are A Miracle A Day and I will change your life, but they have been slow lately. Definately worth a read.

Erki - The Ascent of Humanity looks very interesting. I haven't checked it out fully but the blog looks insightful and the book itself has now been popped into my to-read list.

wolfgang - The Paradox of Ego versus Soul looks to be awesome - I just read Be Here Now by Ram Dass and The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, so I am new and extremely interested in consciousness and the often cynical ways of the ego. I will have to mute the music though...
No need to check out the independent health site to see if I'll enjoy it - I can tell I'm made for that site.
Read some of Deepak's post on Intentblog. Struck true and plan on finishing it when I have more time, along with checking out the rest of the site.
I went to the "Is this website for you" page on Real Jesus, and when I answered yes to the question "If your current religious beliefs were incorrect or incomplete, would you want to know?", I figured that was all I needed to be convinced to check it out more later. Thanks for your replies wolfgang.

Plato - I dig RSD and their teachings and TD is a hero of mine. I don't toss hero around often but the dude works his ass off, is pretty humble and is really grounded - never mind the fact he knows his **** about women. Are you affiliated with RSD? I've seen you post a lot about them here. Maybe you're just sharing the wealth, either way it's cool having at least one fellow guy who's also a member of that community.
As for fast-seduction being more manipulative, I'd ask you to seriously reconsider that. As with any forum it has it's fair share of **** posts (more than a fair share, actually), and some things on there could easily be seen as manipulative. It's still my number one site on the topic however.

Parthon - You rock.
A Miracle a Day link didn't work, I'll google it. I Will Change Your Life is going to be great for me - Peter's core message of "You can change your life" is one of my biggest mottos. I tell people this all the time. It's the most simple yet powerful fact, period.

Thanks everyone so far for your replies, I haven't found one site that I haven't enjoyed yet.

Some great suggestions above, many of which I read!

I'd add:

The Discomfort Zone -- great insights from a very amusing, honest life coach.

PickTheBrain | Smarter Self Improvement -- for "Smarter self improvement" -- good practical advice on all aspects of personal development.

Dumb Little Man -- practical, wide ranging topics, and definitely the potential to give you some life changing ideas.

Anywired — work online, work anywhere, live free. -- great blog if you want to change the way you work. And I really like the way Skellie writes, always something insightful!

Oh, and feel free to check out mine, The Office Diet -- I don't know if it's changed anyone's life yet, but I know from my own experience that successful weight-loss (and maintainance of that loss) truly is life changing (I wrote a guest post about it for I will change your life . com , a blog which Parthon mentioned above, a couple of weeks ago).

Best,

Ali

Was sucked into this site! Thanks Erki. Will enjoy that for a while since it has depth (well, actually a whole book's worth).

I wondered - did you download the "Meditation CD: Willpower Free"? And how would you rate it, if you did?

No, I haven't d/l-ed that CD.

Should read the book again. I feel that I didn't get the most out of it when I read it first. Even more so as I read it chapter by chapter over a few months and never read it until the end anyway...

Ali -
The discomfort zone is cool. I'm trying to understand and use more NLP in my life and this site seemed to have a lot of NLP - again, cool.
Pick the Brain has a psychology component, and I'm very into psychology. They talk about body language and how intelligence may be related to unhappiness. I could spend a lot of time on this site, thanks.
DLM is great, nothing more to say except that through it I found ZenHabits, which is now one of my daily sites to check.
Anywired is excellent because I'm seriously considering blogging as one source of income.
I don't work in an office (at all actually) but your OfficeDiet site would be really helpful if I did. Regardless of my unemployment (trying to keep it that way), I know that your Exercise, Healthy Mind, Weight Loss and Excuse Busting categories appeal to me. I'll be lurking. Thanks again.

I gotta run out the door and enjoy my beautiful day, but I'll check everyone else's recommendations soon. Thanks everyone.

for those into the "paranormal", and wonder about things like conspiracies, the "matrix", and the deeper complexities of the "law of attraction" I like this guy's site:

Transcending the Matrix Control System

He's got some interesting articles, which are suprisingly practical if you take this stuff seriously. He shut down the forum a couple months ago, but I think he kept it as a searchable archive.

I'm already reading half a dozen of the blogs already mentioned above and highly recommend them too.

May I also shamelessly promote my blog Attracting Abundance Begins In The Mind | Attraction Mind Map here as well. I dwell more into negative thoughts and beliefs, the Law of Attraction, and self esteem issues.
Hope it'll be something that you'd enjoy. Postings are twice a week!

Life changing Self-help blogs:
Changing human nature, one human at a time (dirtSimple.org) - You can find lots of cool articles here.
Personal Development - The Urban Monk - The best spiritual blog that I know of.

Not life changing, but totally HILARIOUS sites that I had to share:
Bash.org - Funny quotes
Xkcd - Cool webcomic

And a few more helpful sites:
HowStuffWorks - Learn how Everything Works! - If you like to learn how stuff works.
Mobile-review.com - Lots of well written, detailed articles about mobile phones.

Default Hi forum group

Hi guys and gals,

I'm Paul Stevens and my goal is to discover the secret to financial freedom. I would love to share ideas and dreams with other like minded people!

I have a success story to share with you from a very smart idea by a very smart person... my father.

My father had discovered the secret to success by trading items. Basically, he had a staple gun advertised in the trading section of the local paper. The article read; 'Will trade staple gun for a drill'.

Once he obtained the drill, he then advertised for the drill to be traded for a saw. This continued for years and now he is living on his very own Greek Island, Renominoz.

The sad thing about it is, he never told us kids about his private transactions and simply eloped with his Greek mistress, Acaciananos.

The concept of trading items is a long process but, rewarding for some..

Question

I really liked this one: WordPress › Error, and was about to recommend it both to you and a friend of mine, but for some reason it's coming up as an error - does anyone else read this blog and know what's happened to it?

I've always got a lot out of what i read there.

vicky

[EDIT]
29th April

It's back up and working - they were having technical issues. Definately a blog I'd recommend.
