| (there is far more backend to this story that if told would provide reason as to why I am so curious about what happened. But, I elected to cut to the chase.) Many years ago, when I was still a teenager I was introduced to a new age, wiccan, alternative lifestyle group. It was an eclectic group bound together by the common rejection of mainstream thought and authority. These were not leather-bound darklings listening to cool music. These were not pierced suburban kids with a curfew. These where not weekend wiccans or nighttime naturalists. There people where the real deal, Burning Man real, not to be found at Starbucks. I am stressing that because what they perceived in me I know is authentic to them, not something spouted out from a recently read book bought at Boarders. All the "light" people had gathered at a home, with the most balanced, homey and motherly of the group a 50-odd year old, white haired Crone. Most of the older members there included those in their 30's, 40's and 50's. As I walked in (as a guest, not for other reasons) through the living room where they had all gathered, the oldest woman, the Crone, was the first to speak and stated "he's Quetzalcoatl." I know what Quetzalcoatl is, but what did she mean? I found that to be the oddest thing to say to a guest.

| We can speculate until we're blue in the face, but the only way to know for sure what she meant would be to ask her I assume you didn't ask her to explain herself then. Is there any way to get hold of her now and ask her what she meant?

i know that we can speculate, thats what this thread is for. just tossing ideas around. what on earth would cause someone to say that? does she mean literally i am a feathered serpent? (i am a asian snake. is that related?) does she mean i can reincarnate the dead with my penis? you see, i dont have the faintest idea why someone would say such a thing. this was just one of the weirder moments in my life. i am not asking for anyone to explain her thinking, but rather offer ideas why anyone would say such a thing. this thread is for fun and for conversation.

| I have known many Wiccans to say similar things, and they weren't all kids either. While I won't say that Wyrd things don't happen (because I know for a fact that they do), there are those within New Age cliques who don't have a psychic bone in their body who try to 'fake it'. The ones who I used to know did this primarily for manipulation and control purposes, as well as raising their own status within the group. It can be hard to separate the BS artists from the true Witches and Wizards, especially if you don't know much about such things yourself. Then again, this woman could have indeed been gifted in some way which led her to simply 'trust her instincts', which may have been uncannily accurate at some times, while being dead wrong at others. |

| Could have been the peyote Could be she thought it was a cool thing to say in front of others Could be she has special powers and recognized that you really are Quetzalcoatl. My guess is #2
