Default Look within yourself

Too many people today go to professionals and helpers, when all they really need to do is look into themselves and make up their mind if there happy and content with where they are going in life

If it was so obviously obvious then a lot of people would be without a job . Personally I had and still have great benefits from seeing a psychologist. Even if its not for "bad" things--dumping the stuff on my chest and taking a hard look at myself 45 minutes a week is wonderful. And it's only costing me some lose change.

Of-course you need to look inside... a little help is sometimes needed.

I agree with both viewpoints in a way. Sometimes I get frustrated with myself because I can see something I do that I don't like, and I know the solution, but something holds me back. Or sometimes I just can't figure out the source of a problem, and it helps to have someone tell you what you already "know".
For me it has helped to have a best friend who is very insightful, as well as a therapist. Sometimes I am so close to myself that I can't see the problem or the solution clearly. Did that make sense? I mean it in this way: Sometimes you are too meshed into a situation to see the big picture, so you have to separate yourself from it, or get the opinion of someone who is already separate from it (like a friend or counselor).
