Yesterday was a very difficult day. It was very long, from 7am until 10.30pm that night. Emotionally it was very difficult as well, dealing with the very large problems of other people and trying to help. All this takes its toll. Today I feel vunerable, tired, and discouraged; spiritually exhausted, if you will. The idea of rousing up energy to create an intention about my day seems too much to ask. Does anyone else ever feel this way? What do you do when you do? |

My day didn't quite end yet and I think I got up yesterday at this time. I feel exhausted, but wonderul. Now, I can lay back and rest. There's so much peace in seeing the end of a day, good, bad, or in this case, perfect.

Sometimes you just have to be gentle with yourself... treat yourself just as you would treat a loved one who has had a really tough day ie lots of love, kindness and cherishing. Give yourself permission to take the day off or to take it slowly |

My intentions normally take the shape of a prayer. Not too much energy required. "Please may my day go smoothly, filled with love and good wishes from all." Then as Mags says, start by treating yourself kindly and know that everyone else will. Have faith Love and good wishes Lisa |

| I acknowledge that I am not at my best and that most of my attempts at normal *productivity* will be futile. (Keep in mind I learned this the hard way after years of *soldiering on* when it would have been better not to). I give myself permission to drop out for the day - in whatever way is best for that particular situation - and pile heaping measures of Gentleness and Kindness on myself, as Mags and Lisa said.
