| Hi all, I did the "How to Find your Purpose in 20 minutes" exercise and wrote, with some frustration, for 20 minutes or so. And I went into this with an open mind and some deep breaths. I had very brief two word phrases pop in my head, some repeated over and over. Finally I started to get on a "track" that started to feel like something (other than frustrating). It was focused on the land and I was seeing myself as a child in a newly plowed field touching the dirt. Then I burst into tears when the phrase "to go home" popped in my head followed with "to go back to my roots" and "to not have to be so much". I don't see how those three phrases could be a purpose but I sure had an emotional reaction! I sobbed for quite a while. Anyone have any insight into what this could be trying to tell me? |

| Your true purpose is more about being than doing. It points you in the direction of being authentic. Since those words gave you an emotional release, they obviously have meaning for you. My guess is that going back to your roots is about shedding the parts of your life that aren't a good fit for your authentic self. Don't fill your life with stuff that doesn't really matter.
