| Hi I've just written my first eBook and I'm really trying to do as many "right things" as possible and would like the advice of anyone who's made a go at this. The eBook is about starting and creating a profitable lawn care, landscape business. The 'hook' is that it becomes almost "hands off" after a few years, and I DO make almost double what other lawn care providers in my area make, without a doubt. Where I need guidance is the marketing end, putting it all together. I have been studying and I created an obnoxious one page website. it's ************* - also I made different pages - one for JUST the ebook, one for the ebook plus bunch of downloads, and I'm also on Lulu.com where people can order hard copy. My next step MIGHT be iuniverse.com which if you buy their publoish on demand package, you get on amazon and barnes and noble. I've also been doing an adwords campaign, and I've sold ONE copy via that and ONE copy on ebay. Pricing is a little daunting too. Tim Ferris from 4 hour work week says 50-200, Others I've seen are a bit lower, so I'm trying 27 for JUST the book, 47 for the ebook, downloads and half off later videos. Any thoughts? I'm happy to pay someone to help me who's really been there, done that, made it work! Also, how do some of you have links in your sigs? Whenever I try, on this forum, it gets replaced by ***************** See I'll try now. www.************* which was typed as www. lawn guru dot net.

| Hi there, Hotwired, Have you heard of affiliate marketing? You see, some people are good at producing stuff (like writing an e-book), others might be better at marketing and selling, right? Affiliate marketing is all about letting other people promote your stuff. This is how I make a living - by promoting other people's stuff. I don't wanna be a wiseguy here, he heh Take care Katharina |
| |||
| Ah, one more thing Hotwired, It is usually not allowed in forums to put any links in the body of your message. But what you can do is put the link to your site in your signature (go to control panel and then edit signature. Just how I did it with mine - see? Katharina |

| Hey, me again I was wrong - just noticed that some people do have links in the body of their messages. Have you used the hyperlink option? It's in the tool bar above your message. All you need to do is to highlight the text where you want the link to appear, click the "insert link" icon and type your url there. Hope this helps, Katharina |
| |||
| Ah, I probably just typed the link instead of insert. As far as affiliate marketing, I have a LOOSE idea and would be willing to have as many as possible help me sell my book! I do have it on clickbank right now, and so far I've had to buy one copy myself because you have to sell at least one the first 30 days or you get booted. So it seems clickbank at least has some standards. Your thoughts or Help would be much appreciated!

| Hotwired, Your site looks really good See, I'm not an affiliate specialist. I manage to make a good living online by promoting online dating services but I don't think dating and lawn mowing have much in common; although... naah, not really ClickBank seems to be the best option for promoting e-books. I can't really help you here, since I know the business from the publisher's point of view rather than advertiser's. On the other hand... have you thought of actually promoting other stuff on your website (apart from your e-book)? What do you do to promote your website out there? Do you monitor your traffic? Where do your visitors come from? Katharina |

| I found affilorama through your website Katharina. It looks very interesting |
