| I am in need of a good website, ebook or regular book that I can learn web design stuff from. I have all these ideas and the domain names to things with but I lack the skills! Wordpress has been helpful for my blog, but even with that I sometimes struggle to understand code-related stuff. |

Look at his site http://www.w3schools.com/ and see if it is what you are looking for in a tutorial site. |

| I come from a similar background of knowing nothing about website design. I can't say I have read many books on the subject, but I bought this one from Amazon and it has been useful: Build Your Own Website The Right Way Using HTML & CSS - Ian Lloyd I think if you visit the publishers website (Sitepoint) you can get the first 4 chapters for free. Hope that helps

| That does help. Tonight I had a friend come over (yes, I've actually shared my blog with someone who knows me now!) and he helped me make some changes that I was wanting. I figured out how to add images, I darkened the text a bit to make it more readable. I feel a lot better about what it's looking like. My next project will be a site from scratch I think, so the book recommendation will come in super handy. THanks! |

| Hey bluskygirl, If you want to build a website from scratch consider using XSitePro. It's a great piece of software and it makes web design easy and really enjoyable. I wrote a bit about my experience with XSitePro (link in my signature) - feel free to take a look Good luck! Katharina |
