Red face Good or Bad Ideas?

Hey guys. I've been posting a lot for the past few days because I want to start to work on my own blogging business. However because the first steps start off with a nice budget, I had to thing of few ideas to blog about. Please say which ones you would stay away from and which ones you would persue. Alse all your opinions matter to me a lot. So here are few things I thought of doing:

-- Health factors relating to computers (eg. eyesight, back, etc.)
-- Information about colleges/schools and which ones to choose for your career
-- Since I live around in NY (where there are tones of recreational places) I could travel around NY (Which I love to do) and take pictures and describe museums/etc
-- Less of a blog, I thought of creating a site, similar to ratethatstore.com, where people would comment of different resutarants.
-- Different ways to improve your learning abilities
-- Blog about ocean/sea pollution
-- Natural cures

Thanks a lot in advance.

vladtess! No one can tell you what you should blog about... it's for you to decide what you are most passionate about...

It's a big world out there and there are tons of people interested in every subject under the sun... but what will make or bread you is the quality of your posts...

So, if you post about your greatest passion... it will get the very best out of you and will come out as such...

So, my advice is... find your ultimate passion... and give it all you've got...

The very best of luck to you...

I've never had a blog but here's my opinion:

How much stuff can you write about that? I don't think there's much that hasn't been said about it either(research, ect). I doubt you'd be able to write much about it that couldn't be found in some studies or something.

Seems like something that a lot of people have done already.
And I'm not sure how you'd give your opinion about it unless you've been to more than, say, 10 colleges/schools, in which case you could write about things to look for in them, which I haven't seen anyone do. You'd have to actually be in college/school right now or you'll run out of things to write about.

That's good since there are a lot more people who want to know what NY is like than who actually live there. Not sure how many blogs there already are about it though.

Assuming you'd be reviewing local resutarants, I don't think there'd be much of an interest in it. If you want people to submit their own reviews about resutarants, I doubt anyone would. Also, you'd need some technical knowledge to actually implement that. It'd be pretty bad if it were just a normal blog asking people to use it as if it were something else. So you'll either have to pay someone to write a site for you(probably a Wordpress mod or something) or do it yourself if you know how.

Ok if you try to improve your own abilities, I guess...

Not sure how much you could write about ocean pollution.

I have to say I only interested in "Different ways to improve your learning abilities". but

Do you interested in this topic?
Will you spend more than 5 hours per day to read, write and talk about this topic?
Can you find the related information about this topic easily?
Can you blog about this topic without making any money in next 6-12 months but still motivated enough to keep going?
........

It all about you. The blog is yours. Just share whatever you love, like and passionate, then you will attract a group of people read your works.
