| Yeah, I need quite a bit of money, but do not know where to get it. I'm doing a study abroad and I need some money for the plane ride it's not cheap, 2000 one way. However, the current job I'm working is crap, 7.25/hr @ 22hrs/wk, so that really doesn't add up to much. But where do I find a job that will pay 9-10 per hour? I know someone might say "physical labor" but I really can't though. I had a slight mishap and hurt my left knee, so I don't think it would be able to handle too much volume. I was thinking maybe a security guard because I might be able to get 9.50/hr and just sit there and read books or whatever, but I don't know if it actually pays that high. But does anyone have any ideas to earn money. Or know anyway to maybe get the flight covered through some other way? Any help appreciated. |

| Could you work more hours or get a second part time job? 2 jobs 7.25/hr @ 22hrs/wk is more money than one job 10/hr @ 22hrs/wk. I know its not the most ideal situation but if you need money in a short amount of time and you cant do pyschical labour your options are kind of limited. Also, I dont know about the US but in Canada you need training to be a security guard.

| If you are looking for a job that does not require a diploma or specialized training, I would suggest Bar Tender and/or Waiter, preferably in a high end bar or restaurant. One of my ex-girl friends was a waitress and she would leave work with $200-300 in tip every night. René |

With the internet you can study almost anything that you want right in your own bedroom... Plus, if you cannot even come up with the transportation... how are you going to support yourself while you are abroad...??? If you gave us some more info on your project... maybe we could help you in more ways than one... . |

There are study abroad programs for the summer, a semester, and a year. But looking at the prices for some of them what it costs one semester here for school I could do a year abroad so why not take advantage of it? As for cost...considering the average salary in the two places I'm looking at are 2200 and 2500USD I figured it wouldn't be that difficult to afford to go out and stuff like that. I found a website with scholarship programs for study abroad. I'll try to get some of them, but I won't count on them for money. The reason I'm looking for a 10-12/hr job is because I have a semester off and I'll have about 16ish weeks to earn money, so earning 5k would help. |

As for high paying jobs with little skill... I would suggest (if the law permits it where you live) door to door sales... While I was in College, a buddy of mine was selling floor carpets door to door... he was paid on a commission basis... working less than three hours a day and making more than guys working 40 hrs/week... Beside being high paying, that job is an education in itself... you get to know how to deal with people... plus you certainly get rid of any fear that you may have about meeting strangers... The very best of luck to you... . |
