Default Website Feedback

I've made zoowise.com more user friendly for anyone who wants to promote their blog, news story, website, business and products.

I need feedback from you please. Do you like it? Would it be useful to you? I'm looking for any feedback good or bad. I want it to be a place where you'd visit everyday to self promote and find interesting stuff.

We're just getting started, but I want to know how to make it the best place for you to use and visit.

Thanks in advance

Max

Hi Max,

Zoowise is a very clean site. Very easy to navigate and simple enough that even I can use it. My only word of advice is that people will not know what the purpose of the site is unless you tell them because it is not apparent on the site. You might want to create a meme or a tagline for the site that brands it as a social media PR site.

Just my 2 cents

TR,

Thanks for the feedback, we thought it was rather obvious the purpose of the site (a suggestion box for suggestions) but if it's not clear enough then maybe we need a tweak.

Thanks for the feedback, greatly appreciated!

Max

Hi Max,

Yeah, I sorta miscommunicated this.....Your site does clearly state what it is about, but what I was trying to say is that you have to read into it....it is not instantaneously grabbing as to what the purpose of your site is.

So let's say it lands big on stumbleupon (maybe already has)......as it is right now, I would probably click out of it rather fast as I would suspect others would as well, because my eyes would scan just the big titles.....not understand what it was about, and leave. I would say, "Zoowise...what the heck is a zoowise?" I wouldn't even read what was under the suggestion box for suggestions section even though it clearly explains it there. That's just my own browsing behavior, but I think it would be consistent with most people.

A great addition, in my personal opinion, would be a tagline in big font "Zoowise....Promote Your Blog" or "Zoowise....Social PR for blogs" etc....you get my point. Like Steves....."Personal Development for smart people." That would do the job of telling me within 1 second what your site is about and if that's what I want, then I'll stay.

I'm telling you this because my own site is suffering from the same problem and I spoke with Albert Foong of the UrbanMonk and he said that he redid his page several times over and finalize realized that the glue that made visitors stick was big bold purpose-driven taglines.

Cheers!

Max,

The only reason I'm answering, is because you asked. Otherwise, I wouldn't volunteer this information.

It does not seem something that would be useful to me. I don't really like it - it's a little confusing as well. I know what it's about from what you've written in other threads, but I see no need for it as a user. If I need information I'll google it.

TR,

Thanks for that. You're right, we know from feedback, we have something, but people just don't get it straight away, we're either trying to do too much or it's just not obvious what we're trying to do

We just need to define it more.

Thanks fro much for your feedback it's greatly appreciated

Max

SE,

Thanks for the honesty, we know it's not for everyone and that's our problem, we're trying to be everything to everyone I think because we're trying to please different markets, we're confusing people and yes it's not obvious what it is.

But not every site is for everyone I don't use facebook, myspace, bebo, ebay or amazon, but I'm a daily web user. So we just need to define our market a little better, we're trying to solve our own problem, but we're seeing it from limited personal eyes we think.

Thanks again for the feedback it all helps greatly.

Max

I agree that I still don't really understand what the site is about. It seems to lack focus or something that separates it from the rest of the social bookmarking sites. I do understand what a suggestion box is, and the site doesn't seem to apply to that definition. A suggestion box is normally where you post recommendations with the purpose of someone receiving that feedback and making a positive change.

Anyway, if it's not too late, I would suggest changing your business model. Check out this new site in the social bookmarking arena: Sphinn: News, Discussion Forums & Networking For Search & Internet Marketing Professionals . What makes them unique is that they are focusing on a niche, in this case, people interested in my industry of Internet Marketing. If you can identify a niche with a decent audience, you can really go far.

My .02

Best of luck!
