| Hi all, I just wanted to know your opinion on book summaries. I got email from the IMA - Institute of Management Accountants telling me that The Business Source - Business Book Summaries offers discount for IMA members to subscribe in their business book summaries and I did for $37, two summaries per month. Laterly, I found that Online Executive Business Book Summaries from BusinessSummaries offers a free one month trail to access thier hundreds of book summaries. They are far better than the eariler. I am also recieving other book sumarries from a third provider ... here is my questions .. With recieving books summaries from different providers, I have not yet see any substantial benefits from these summaries, do you? Please share with us what you think about book summaries. If you know a provider that worth considering, please let's know. Thanks in advance for all. Toolbaree |

| I subscribed to Executive Book Summaries for a year. I read the summaries but found them largely worthless. Overall I thought they did a poor job of choosing interesting and relevant books to summarize. The books were far too academic for my tastes -- I prefer practical, real-world ideas rather than just business theory.

| Hey toolbaree, Not sure the value of book summaries, never read any. An interesting small business book is "E-Mythy Revisited: Why most small businesses fail, and what to do about it" by Michael Gerber. His explanation of organizational management and growth from outset is on point. |
