How do I know what type of investment institution is best to consult with in this regard? I am not sure whether this is something I that my regular bank would handle best or if I should go to a credit union or other type of place. I would like to rollover retirement savings from a previous employer.

Fidelity has a good reputation, but I chose Vangaurd because they don't rob you with outrageous fees and they deliver great performance. Vangaurd is unique because it's owned by the people who invest in their funds. This means they truly work for you, because you own them. Other firms are only interested in lining their pockets, from my experience. Read as much as you can about John Bogle. He's a god in the investing world and he started Vangaurd. Then you'll understand why Vangaurd is special. Start here: John Bogle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Last edited by mustard76; 07-03-2007 at 01:12 AM. Reason: typo |
