| How long does it usually take adsense, from the time you put it on your site, to when it starts showing relevant links? I've had it on my site for 2 or 3 days now and It's still showing bolemia and anorexia links when my site is a political site. |
| |||
| It's all based on keywords so as your front page grows with content, relevant links will emerge. Maybe anorexia is a political issue? I don't know. Either that or not many political businesses need advertising.

| Well that's kinda what I'm lost on. I post the ad link in every new blog post, so the page continually changes right? Will ever new blog post have irrelevant ads? |
| |||
| FTW?! I just went to your site. You're not kidding. That's way off. Try putting the word politics or political a little more in your posts maybe. Wow those ads are way off.

| Is it possible that Google isn't able to actually index your site so they're not getting a good read on what sorts of ads to use? |
| |||
| Yeah, I don't think it's a matter of content. It doesn't look like Googel has any idea what's on your site. Do you know when Google visited your site last? Done these? Add your URL to Google Google Blog Search Ping Service |

| Typically, it takes a few hours or days to get relevant ads on new pages, and a few weeks for updated pages. The first post I made to to my own blog was 14 Amazing Chuck Norris Facts. And initially, the "relevant ads" were all about hemorrhoid treatments!

| you can maybe add meta description and keywords on your webpage to focus on the keywords that you want to get more relevant ads . Just an idea

| Ok...i just noticed this: when i visit "www.politicaldishonesty.com" the ads are irrelevant. when i visit "politicaldishonesty.com" the ads are relevant. How do I make it so that when someone visits "www.politicaldishonesty.com" it really takes them to "politicaldishonesty.com" without using domain forwards (i can't use a domain forward because it is using the DNS nameservers to bring up the site and you can't use both). |

| I've found that the posts I made on my blog early on sometimes have the irrelevants that Google assigned in the beginning, it doesn't seem to forward revise itself very well against the content of the rest of the site (so older and high trafficed articles sometimes get terribly low paying ads for irrelevant stuff like free blogs). It took Google about two months to consistantly show relevant ads for my blog. Now that it's got an idea of what my blog's about it's generally good at either pulling up ads relevant to the post or defaulting to ads relevant to the general site. |
