I have tried looking this up on the internet first. but I didn't see it. Theres a chance I didnt use the correct keyword(s) in my google search so I am posting it in here. I have a question, but first let me tell you more about myself. I despise welfare. Medicaid, Medicare, food stamps, the whole nine yards. Im more tolerant of mediCARE because it can be used for ppl with ESRD (End Stage Renal[kidney] Disease) which is or can be a disability. Im not against disability or unemployment. Disability is for those who cannot hold a job due to something beyond their control. (stroke, mental handicap, etc.) but have the desire to. Ive never used unemployment but I believe it can be good if its not abused. My main beef with welfare is medicaid, and WIC, and food stamps. Ive just seen it abused way too much. an example I will give that really happened: when i was a cashier at walmart, there was this lady that came thru my line with a buggy full of about 30 two liter sams choice colas. she said she drinks one two liter per day and drinks it instead of water. (!) what did she pay for it with? Our hard earned tax dollars! her food stamp card!! then theres the people out there that have the mindset of "have-a-baby-get-a-check" from the govenment so they wouldnt have to work for a living. laziness!!! anyways to get to my question: Ive heard that self employment taxes have some sort of leeway when it comes to paying for welfare for deadbeats. (food stamps, medicaid, WIC, etc...) ive even heard that self employment or some variation thereof are not subject to the above three mentioned welfares. can someone shed some light on this?
