I'm trying to to decide if I should go through the effort of trying to find an accountant and set things up tax wise to where I have a business or just take the start up hits without even bothering since chances are I'm not going to be making very much money for like 2ish years at least. I'm in school right now for graphic design and I plan on freelancing afterwards. My husband and I are also planning on building a website and hopefully just creating personal websites could be a full income stream itself but until then I think I am going to take my own work as well. I guess my question is should I bother trying to write off domain registration, hosting, sbi, office space (I use a second bedroom as a designated office), adobe cs, and I just bought a mac. I would have bought these things anyways but if I could write them off that would be lovely too. Do you have to make money off it though? Or can I write it off my personal income from working a job? |
