Releasing limiting beliefs about money

I'm making this thread because it's come to my attention that I hold a lot of limiting beliefs about money, and it affects my personal and professional life negatively. Here's what's come to my attention:

1. Having too much of it can lead to distractions. Here was the thought process that lead me to it: ''Oh cool a 3ds! FINALLY I get to see what the 3d looks like! Maybe I should get one? Hmmm...I could, but that would take attention away from the focus on my career that I want''

Now this is just a 3ds. What's it like to have tons of money? How do wealthy people manage to not get lost in petty distractions? A lot of wealthier people I know do just that so it's tough for me finding a positive example.

2. You want lots of money? Fine. At some point, you will have to compromise your values in order to do so.

It's funny this point was repeated to me over and over again by an old friend. It's his belief not mine! And yet, I think I may have integrated some of that fear within me. Funny how ideas work.

3. More money means more problems. I see people get lost in seas of self-inflicted responsibilities. Houses, cars, insurance, possessions all serve their purposes. But they come with a heavy price and a heavy burden in my opinion. Another factor is that more people may want to try to take advantage of you. Don't really have an answer for this one.

4. Money is usually transferred as a result of one or many individuals bringing some form of pleasure to another. If you're familiar with Buddhist philosophy, you'll see what I mean when I say that what we're really doing is supporting a vicious cycle and profiting from it. It's not ''wrong'' or ''evil'' but what if one is aiming to lead a life aligned with enlightenment?

Ok that's it for now. Would love some feedback and suggestions on releasing those beliefs! And please, feel free to use this space to post your own limiting beliefs and maybe we can do the same for you as well! :)
